Acerca de The Foreigner Podcast

I've lived in 6 different countries over the last 4 years. Living abroad one of the things I love the most is the multiple encounters with strangers. Strangers who often end up becoming friends. But if there is one thing I always regret is to not have spent more time around the people I once shared the road with, listening to whatever advice they have to give or whatever story they want to tell. In this podcast, I talk to friends and strangers whose inspiring lives once kept me company on my journey throughout the world. Through these conversations, I try to learn more about who they are, what brought them to the lovely city of Sendai in northern Japan where I'm currently living, their experiences, life philosophies, ideas, and dreams.

In this episode, I chat with my dear friend Emmanuel Dansu. He is from Nigeria and he is doing a PhD in mathematical biology at Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan. Emmanuel is one of those people who always draws a smile from you. He is an amazing guy and we talked about many different topics; from his year of national youth service to how he managed to obtain a government scholarship to come to Japan after 5 years of applying to almost every university in the world.
