Descripción

In part two of My Wild NYC Apartment Hunting Experience, I get into the real chaos of trying to find my own apartment in New York City with only a couple weeks left before I had to move. I’m talking StreetEasy, Zillow, messaging 30 to 40 realtors, running to showings in between work calls, taking trains, bikes, Ubers I barely had the money for, standing in lines with 60 people, getting denied from spots I thought were mine, and still refusing to give up. This episode is about more than apartment hunting. It’s about survival mode, pride, family support, betting on yourself, saying no to a bad deal, trusting your gut, and finally locking in my first apartment on my own in New York City two days before I had to move. And once I got that apartment, it became bigger than just a place to live. It became proof that I could get out of my comfort zone, push through the pressure, and build a life that my younger self would be proud of

episode I Had To Stop Lessening Myself artwork

I Had To Stop Lessening Myself

In this episode of The Life of a Multifacet, I’m talking about how I had to stop lessening myself just because certain people didn’t have the capacity to receive me. For a long time, I would catch myself saying things like, “I know I said too much,” or “I know I went down a rabbit hole,” but I started realizing that every time I said that, I was shrinking my own value, my stories, and the way I naturally communicate. This episode gets into communication, listening, eye contact, dating, friendships, deeper conversations, people actually valuing what you have to say, and realizing that the right people won’t make you feel like you’re too much. Because when you’re around people with real depth, you don’t have to keep apologizing for having something to say.

episode Comfort Zone Will Keep You Stuck artwork

Comfort Zone Will Keep You Stuck

I recorded this about a month before turning 30… and now that I’m here, it hits even harder. This episode is me reflecting on my 20s and realizing how much of my growth came from getting uncomfortable. From moving to a new city, navigating life on my own, going through setbacks, building new skills, and figuring out who I really am… none of that happens if I stay in my comfort zone. I talk about how easy it is to stay where things feel familiar… but how that same comfort can quietly keep you stuck. This was also a moment for me to really give myself credit. Not waiting on validation from others, but recognizing the work, the risks, and the growth I created on my own. Now being 30, I can say it clearly… everything that moved my life forward came from stepping into discomfort and trusting myself anyway. Because at the end of the day, your comfort zone will keep you stuck… if you let it.

I've Learned A Lot In Navigating Survival Mode

In this episode of The Life of a Multifacet, I’m talking about what I’ve learned from navigating survival mode and how that mindset can help you push through, but also keep you from actually enjoying how far you’ve come. I get into family, generational survival instincts, growing up around people who had to figure life out the hard way, and how that can shape the way you move as an adult. Sometimes you’re so used to grinding, protecting yourself, and trying not to go back to where you were that you don’t even realize you’re creating more stress for yourself. This episode also gets into fitness, work, money, New York, security jobs, content, faith, relationships, boundaries, and learning how to stop making everything harder than it needs to be. Because at some point, survival mode can’t be the whole identity. You still gotta grind, but you also gotta give yourself grace, work smarter, stop overextending yourself, and actually appreciate the life you’re building.

My Personal New Years Starts On A Different Date!

In this episode of The Life of a Multifacet, I’m talking about why my personal new year doesn’t really start on January 1. For me, January and February usually feel like a warm-up. I may have goals written down, I may know what I want for the year, but my real rhythm usually starts around March and April. That’s when things start clicking, my mind starts locking in, and I feel myself stepping into a new season for real. This episode gets into fitness, weight loss, survival mode, giving myself grace, starting a new job, building consistency, creating content, hitting over 50 podcast episodes, and realizing I’m not starting from ground zero anymore. Sometimes you’re not behind. Sometimes you’re just adjusting into a different version of yourself. And for me, this season is about less overthinking, more grace, and remembering that the work I already put in still counts.
