Sometimes what feels like anxiety, anger, or emotional overwhelm is really someone else’s energy being projected onto you. Before you react, check in with yourself, ask better questions, and learn how to tell the difference between your emotions and what you picked up from somebody else. Emotional regulation starts with knowing what is yours and what is not.

Help others but focus on yourself

You can support people without surrendering your whole life. I’m talking to the people who are tired, exhausted, frustrated, and still trying to carry everybody else’s life while their own is sitting there waiting on them. At some point, you have to understand that you are in charge of your life, your time, your peace, your boundaries, and your mission. Helping people is beautiful, but help has an expiration date. You are not here to move everybody else’s mountains while abandoning yourself. Focus on your growth, your healing, your assignment, and the life you came here to build. Stay up and stay blessed. Give People What They Actually Need

I used to think being a good mother, partner, or friend meant giving people the version of love I would have wanted. But I had to learn that real love pays attention. My children taught me that each person needs something different from me, and if I want the relationship to grow, I have to listen to who they actually are. This conversation is about giving people what they asked for, not what makes us feel useful. For a long time, I was taught that the power I needed came from somewhere outside of me. And while faith gave me foundation, discipline, and comfort, there was still something missing. I had to learn that healing is not just praying over the pain or covering it up. You have to face it, unpack it, clear it, and rewrite the codes that were placed on you. This is not me telling anyone what to believe.
