The Rocketeer | Episode 38 - Danny Bilson

This week we continue our deep-dive into the kingdom of movie madness with The Rocketeer (1991)... by speaking with one of the screenwriters, Danny Bilson! Danny Bilson is a writer, director and producer based in Los Angeles. After a long television and film career at Warner Brothers, Disney and Paramount, Bilson served as a senior executive at both Electronic Arts, and THQ. He has consulted at Walt Disney Imagineering on a number of immersive projects. His most recently produced screenplay, "Da 5 Bloods" was directed by Spike Lee. Bilson has been on the faculty of the USC School of Cinematic Arts since 2005, where he currently leads the Narrative Design Workshop.  Support The Rewindables and Swish FM+ via Patreon! The Rocketeer | Episode 37

This week we continue our deep-dive into the kingdom of movie madness with The Rocketeer (1991). Set in 1938 Los Angeles, California, The Rocketeer tells the story of pilot Cliff Secord, who discovers a hidden rocket pack that he thereafter uses to fly without the need of an aircraft. His heroic deeds soon attract the attention of Howard Hughes and the FBI, who are hunting for the missing rocket pack, as well as the Nazi operatives that stole it from Hughes.
