The Roads Church Podcast
In this message from the Spiritual Authority Restored In Christ sermon series, Chad Everett teaches that every believer has been given both a God-given assignment and the fire of the Holy Spirit to fulfill it. As Jesus spoke in Mark 13 about His return, He also revealed how His followers are meant to live until that day comes: take heed, watch, pray, and remain faithful to the work He has entrusted to them. This Pentecost Sunday message explores the connection between the believer’s purpose, spiritual authority, and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. Chad explains that the fire of God is not merely emotion or enthusiasm, but the person of the Holy Spirit working within believers to guide, strengthen, comfort, and purify them for the work of the Kingdom. Throughout the sermon, the call is clear: don’t become distracted by lesser storylines, cultural confusion, fear, or personal ambition. Instead, stay focused on Jesus, stay awake spiritually, and remain committed to the Father’s business. Every follower of Christ has a purpose, and Jesus has given both authority and fire to accomplish it. This message also challenges believers to remain in the refining process of God. The fire of the Holy Spirit not only empowers ministry, but also exposes and purifies areas of fear, pride, insecurity, and flesh so believers can be conformed into the image of Christ. The goal is not simply to begin well, but to finish faithfully. The Roads Church - https://theroads.church
