My client had a closet most stylists could only dream about. Designer pieces, famous vintage finds, clothes that fit her perfectly, all in a beautiful walk-in with room to spare. She had deep fashion knowledge, places to go, and more than enough money to buy whatever she wanted. And every single item, including the shoes, still had its tags on. So she hired me to help her wear them. At least, that was the problem she told me she had. She was new to this level of wealth, overwhelmed by a bigger life, and unsure how to put it all together. It was a reasonable problem to have, except it wasn’t the real problem. What was actually going on ran much deeper, and no lookbook I put together for her was going to fix it.
