Descripción

Texas is home to more than 200,000 women veterans, and many continue their commitment to service through careers at Texas Veterans Commission. Among them are the Women Veterans Coordinators who work in communities across the state, connecting women veterans with benefits, resources, employment opportunities, and support networks. We are talking with those coordinators and the program’s director, Army veteran Dr. Krystle Matthews. We discuss the unique needs of women veterans, the outreach happening across Texas, and why it’s important to ensure every woman who served is recognized as a veteran and connected to the benefits and services she has earned.
