The YLF Experience Podcast
In this episode, I continue the conversation around operating in “bonus mode” and what it really looks like to search for wins during difficult seasons of life. Right now, I’m navigating grief, exhaustion, stress, routine disruption, and trying to process a lot of change all at once. And through all of it, one of the biggest things I keep coming back to is this idea that every positive action counts, even when it feels small. A workout becomes a win. Meal prepping becomes a win. Choosing a better option at the grocery store becomes a win. Stretching becomes a win. Going live one time during a difficult week becomes a win. In this episode, I talk about: What “bonus mode” actually looks like in real life Navigating grief while still trying to care for yourself Learning to see victories in everyday decisions Why hypercritical thinking makes difficult seasons harder The importance of compassion and self-awareness Focusing on quality over quantity with habits Building a mindset that supports you instead of works against you How your mental approach influences fitness, weight loss, and life overall A major theme throughout this conversation is learning to deliberately pull yourself back toward compassion when your mind starts becoming overly critical. So many people believe they are failing simply because life interrupted their normal structure, but difficult seasons do not erase who you are or the consistency you have built. This episode is a reminder that progress is not only found in perfect routines. Sometimes progress is simply continuing to look for opportunities, continuing to care for yourself, and continuing to choose kindness toward yourself while life feels overwhelming. And sometimes, the win is simply getting through the day while still believing in yourself enough to try again tomorrow.
