episode Courage, Creativity & Answering the Call of Your Soul with Brittany Eastman (B.J. Wilde Writes) artwork

Courage, Creativity & Answering the Call of Your Soul with Brittany Eastman (B.J. Wilde Writes)

COURAGE, CREATIVITY & ANSWERING THE CALL OF YOUR SOUL WITH BRITTANY EASTMAN (B.J. WILDE WRITES) In this deeply expansive and soul-stirring conversation, I’m joined by the incredible Britt — writer, mother of three, creative visionary, and the voice behind B.J. Wilde Writes. This episode is a powerful exploration of courage, creativity, and what it truly means to honour the call of your heart — even when it makes no logical sense. Britt shares her journey of walking away from a successful, established coaching business to pursue her creative calling: writing her Song of Stars romantasy trilogy. We dive into the reality of that decision: the fear, the uncertainty, the identity shifts — and the profound self-trust required to bring a creative vision to life. Together, we explore creativity not as something to force or manufacture, but as a living, intelligent force that wants to move through us, if we’re willing to listen. This conversation is an invitation to stop outsourcing your truth, to trust your inner voice, and to create a life (and body of work) that is deeply, unapologetically your own. It is grounding. It is activating. It is liberating. IN THIS EPISODE, WE EXPLORE: * The courage to answer your soul’s calling, and the real cost of not doing so * Walking away from stability to pursue a creative dream * Why fear is not a stop sign, but a signal for expansion * Creativity as a channel vs. something we force or manufacture * The importance of trusting your unique creative process * Discovering your “energetic trademark” your authentic creative fingerprint * Creating from internal truth vs. external validation or expectation * The dangers of overconsumption and the importance of protecting your creative channel * How to discern between aligned ideas and forced creations * The power of pausing. And why creativity requires space, not pressure * Building unwavering self-trust through daily action and devotion to your craft * The balance of Yin (surrender, receptivity) and Yang (discipline, structure) in creativity * Why action creates momentum — not the other way around * Understanding your unique creative archetype (Gardener vs Architect) * The role of play, imagination, and beauty in healing the nervous system * Why art and fiction are not indulgent, but essential medicine * The “load vs unload” theory, and how modern life blocks creativity * Reconnecting to your body, feelings, and emotional depth through art * Letting go of the status quo to live a life that is truly aligned KEY TAKEAWAYS: ✔ The opposite of depression isn’t joy — it’s expression ✔ Your creativity is your life force — suppressing it comes at a cost ✔ Fear often means you’re doing something meaningful ✔ You don’t find your voice — you uncover it by honouring what moves through you ✔ Overconsumption blocks creation — space is required for clarity ✔ Discipline builds self-trust, confidence, and identity ✔ Alignment is not always comfortable — but it is always truthful ✔ Beauty, art, and imagination are essential for emotional and nervous system health ✔ Purpose is not what you do — it’s the energy you bring to what you do ✔ Momentum is created through action, not motivation TOPICS DISCUSSED: * Courage & creative risk-taking * Leaving a successful career to follow a calling * Creative identity & self-expression * Nervous system regulation through art & beauty * Discipline, self-leadership & consistency * Overcoming fear, doubt & resistance * Feminine (yin) & masculine (yang) dynamics in creation * Burnout, overconsumption & creative blocks * The healing power of fiction & storytelling * Living in alignment vs. following societal expectations IF THIS EPISODE SPEAKS TO YOU… If you’ve been feeling the pull toward something more… If there’s a creative idea, vision, or desire that won’t leave you alone… If you’ve been stuck in overthinking, overconsuming, or waiting for the “right time”… This is your reminder: Your calling isn’t random. Your voice isn’t accidental. And your creativity isn’t optional — it’s essential. This conversation is your invitation to trust it. To honour it. And to act on it. Because this one precious life isn’t meant to be lived on autopilot. It’s meant to be created. ABOUT BRITT (B.J. WILDE WRITES) Britt is a writer, creative coach, and storyteller devoted to helping women reconnect with their voice, their creativity, and their truth. She is the author of the Song of Stars romantasy series, including: Book #1: The Sky Called Her Home Book #2: The Darkness Remembered Her Name  Book #3: The Stars Kissed Her Feet (Coming out June 2026) Through her work, she invites us back into imagination, beauty, emotional depth, and the kind of storytelling that awakens something within. It’s something you allow. Courage is not the absence of fear. It’s devotion in the presence of it. And the life you’re meant to live… Requires you to say yes — before you feel ready. I’m so honoured you’re here. Katie x

episode From Survival Mode to Safety: Rewire Your Nervous System for Healing, Energy, Emotional Stability & Lasting Joy artwork

From Survival Mode to Safety: Rewire Your Nervous System for Healing, Energy, Emotional Stability & Lasting Joy

🎧 FROM SURVIVAL MODE TO SAFETY: REWIRE YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM FOR HEALING, ENERGY, EMOTIONAL STABILITY & LASTING JOY In this solo episode of The Thrive with Katie Show, we’re diving into one of the most overlooked yet powerful foundations of your health, happiness, and overall wellbeing… Your nervous system. This is not just another wellness trend or “nice to have” self-care practice. This is the foundation your entire life is built on. Because so many of the symptoms women are experiencing today… Anxiety. Hormonal imbalances. Low libido. Insomnia. Digestive issues. Burnout. People-pleasing. Emotional overwhelm. …are not random. They are the result of a nervous system that is stuck in survival mode. If you’ve been doing all the “right things”—eating well, exercising, journaling, meditating—but still feel dysregulated, disconnected, or not quite yourself… This episode will help you understand why. And more importantly—what to do about it. IN THIS EPISODE, WE EXPLORE: What the nervous system actually is and how it influences every function in your body The role of the autonomic nervous system in stress, healing, and emotional regulation The difference between: * Fight or flight (sympathetic state) * Freeze and fawn (dorsal vagal shutdown) * Rest and digest (ventral vagal regulation) How chronic stress and nervous system dysregulation impact: * Hormones, libido, and reproductive health * Gut health and digestion * Sleep quality and energy levels * Weight retention and inflammation Why you feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or emotionally flat The science behind why you can’t access joy, calm, or presence in survival mode How modern life keeps you stuck in chronic stress and overstimulation Why nervous system regulation is the missing piece for lasting healing 🧠 KEY TAKEAWAYS: ✔ Your nervous system is the foundation of your mental, physical, and emotional health ✔ If your body doesn’t feel safe, it will prioritise survival over healing ✔ Chronic stress suppresses digestion, hormones, immunity, and emotional wellbeing ✔ You cannot access true joy, connection, or presence from a dysregulated state ✔ Nervous system regulation is not a luxury—it’s a daily practice ✔ The way you breathe directly impacts your emotional state and nervous system THE 3 NERVOUS SYSTEM STATES EXPLAINED: Sympathetic (Fight or Flight) High alert, anxiety, overthinking, hypervigilance, stress hormones activated Dorsal Vagal (Freeze or Fawn) Shutdown, fatigue, numbness, disconnection, people-pleasing, avoidance Ventral Vagal (Rest, Digest & Regulate) Calm, grounded, present, connected, emotionally regulated, open to joy A SIMPLE TOOL TO REGULATE YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM One of the fastest and most effective ways to shift your state is through breathwork. Try this: Nose → Belly → Extended Exhale * Breathe in through your nose * Expand your belly * Slowly extend your exhale This signals safety to your body, activates the parasympathetic nervous system, and helps you move out of stress and into calm. Here is a breathwork practice to help tend to your nervous system- I'd suggest doing it daily EXTENDED EXHALES- anytime the exhale is longer than the inhale it transports us into the ventral vagal branch of the parasympathetic nervous system. Making us feel calm, grounded and relaxed. An incredible tool for quick down regulation, it will also help you sleep like a baby if done just before bed. There are three versions, pick the one that best suits your needs and skills.  * Beginner Practice: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yzvVGCVlOV494WeiL41UdjnWYS74MGZu/view?usp=share_link [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yzvVGCVlOV494WeiL41UdjnWYS74MGZu/view?usp=share_link] * Intermediate Practice: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yzvVGCVlOV494WeiL41UdjnWYS74MGZu/view?usp=share_link [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yzvVGCVlOV494WeiL41UdjnWYS74MGZu/view?usp=share_link] * Advanced Practice: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19Zc3u1NxHtnW07VEMXtKugHpu2LFbga6/view?usp=share_link [https://drive.google.com/file/d/19Zc3u1NxHtnW07VEMXtKugHpu2LFbga6/view?usp=share_link] BUILDING A REGULATED NERVOUS SYSTEM Nervous system regulation isn’t something you do once. It’s something you practice daily. Just like brushing your teeth—it needs to become a non-negotiable. Because when your body feels safe, everything changes: * You think more clearly * You respond instead of react * You feel more present and connected * Your body can heal, restore, and rebalance IF YOU’RE CRAVING… Less anxiety and overwhelm Better sleep, digestion, and hormone balance A deeper sense of calm, safety, and emotional stability To feel more present, connected, and like yourself again A sustainable way to support your mental and physical health …this episode is your starting point. For healing. For joy. This is where it begins. Forever in your corner, Katie x

episode Why “Love Yourself as You Are” Isn’t Enough: The Missing Piece of True Self Love artwork

Why “Love Yourself as You Are” Isn’t Enough: The Missing Piece of True Self Love

🎧 Self Love, Body Acceptance & the Yin + Yang of Devotional Self-Care In this solo episode of The Thrive with Katie Show, we’re diving into a deeply honest, embodied, and expansive conversation about self love, body image, and what it truly means to feel at home in your body. This isn’t surface-level self-love or “just accept yourself” rhetoric. It’s a grounded, nuanced exploration of the full spectrum of self love — the softness and the discipline, the compassion and the responsibility, the Yin and the Yang. Your body is not a problem to solve. It’s not something to control, shame, or override. Your body is your home — your most loyal ally — and when you learn how to listen to it, work with it, and honour it through aligned action, your relationship with yourself begins to fundamentally shift. This episode is an invitation to move beyond performative self-care and into devotional self love — the kind that builds trust, confidence, vitality, and deep self-respect over time. If you’ve ever felt disconnected from your body, stuck in cycles of self-criticism, or confused about why your self-love efforts haven’t “stuck,” this conversation will meet you right where you are. In This Episode, We Explore: * Why your body is deeply intelligent — and how it’s constantly working to protect, regulate, and support you * Healing your relationship with your body without bypassing growth or self-responsibility * The difference between true self-acceptance and subtle self-avoidance * Why affirmations, mindset work, and body positivity don’t always create lasting change * How self-sovereignty and self-leadership transform confidence and embodiment * The role of discipline, commitment, and follow-through as acts of self love * How to consciously choose the version of yourself you’re becoming * Accessing your future self through curiosity, integrity, and aligned habits * The Yin & Yang of self love — and why balance is essential for feeling grounded and empowered * When your body is asking for rest, compassion, and nervous system regulation * When your body is asking for structure, movement, nourishment, and accountability * Turning self-care from obligation into devotion * How to build trust with yourself through consistent, loving action Key Takeaways: ✔ Self love is not just a feeling — it’s a practice rooted in integrity and action ✔ Growth and acceptance are not opposites — they are partners ✔ Your body responds to what you do, not just what you say ✔ Confidence is built through self-trust and follow-through ✔ True self care balances softness with responsibility ✔ When your actions align with your values, your body feels safe and supported Topics Discussed: Self love & self acceptance Body image healing Embodiment & nervous system regulation Self sovereignty & personal responsibility Discipline without punishment Feminine and masculine energy (Yin & Yang) Devotional self care Confidence after motherhood Healing disconnection from the body Mindset shifts for lasting change If you’re craving… * A healthier, more empowered relationship with your body * Confidence that comes from self-trust (not force or perfection) * A self-love practice that actually lasts * More energy, vitality, and alignment in your day-to-day life …this episode is your invitation to come home to yourself. 🎓 FREE MASTERCLASS: Homecoming If this conversation resonated, you’re invited to download the replay of my high value, FREE Homecoming Masterclass — a deep dive into revolutionising your relationship with your body. Awakening Joy, Embodying Rest & Living from the Inside Out with Chrissi Chung

🎧 AWAKENING JOY, EMBODYING REST & LIVING FROM THE INSIDE OUT WITH CHRISSIE CHUNG In this episode, I’m joined by the radiant Chrissie Chung — a yoga and meditation teacher, retreat leader, and lifelong student of truth who has dedicated the last decade to helping humans live from the inside out. Chrissi has a rare gift for bringing ancient yogic philosophy to life in a way that’s deeply practical, heart-led, and real. Together, we explore rest, joy, embodiment, and what it truly means to live in alignment with your truth. If you’ve been craving more ease, authenticity, and inner peace, this episode will speak straight to your soul. ✨ In This Episode, We Explore: * The unsustainable pace and pressure of modern life — and how to step off the hamster wheel * Why slowing down and creating inner space is the key to receiving life’s goodness * Using the body as a gateway to awareness, sensitivity, and awakening * Emotions as feedback — how to embrace them instead of resisting them * Busting the myth that meditation = stillness * The transformational power of curiosity and “not knowing” * The importance of sangha — finding the right community to grow alongside * Rest as a sacred practice and way of being — even in action * How to dissolve guilt around rest and rewire the belief that rest is “unproductive” * Disentangling your self-worth from doing, achieving, and proving * Why joy isn’t something to chase — it’s who you already are 🧠 Key Takeaways: ✔ Inner ease amplifies outer ease — what happens within you shapes everything around you. ✔ Rest isn’t the absence of doing — it’s the presence of being. ✔ Every emotion is feedback — not a flaw. ✔ Life is not about doing more, it’s about being more. ✔ Joy isn’t found — it’s remembered. 📌 Topics Discussed: * Overcoming the constant drive to “do more” and prove your worth * Building resilience through acceptance and surrender * The body as a bridge to self-awareness and emotional intelligence * The power of heart-centered living * Redefining rest and reclaiming your relationship with stillness * The “less is more” philosophy — and how it opens space for deeper joy * Awakening joy by removing what blocks your natural radiance 🔥 If you’re ready to release the pressure, reconnect to presence, and reawaken the joy that’s already within you — this conversation is your reminder to soften, breathe, and come home to yourself.
