To Help You Heal
After more than 150 episodes of To Help You Heal, I’m taking a pause for the summer. This wasn’t a decision I made overnight. In fact, I’ve been thinking about it for a couple of months. As I’ve spent the last several weeks talking about not pushing harder, questioning the voice that puts pressure on us, and examining where our expectations come from, I realized I needed to listen to my own advice. In this episode, I share why I’m stepping back from the podcast for the summer and why I believe there is value in creating space to listen, reflect, and get curious about what’s next. So often we think our only options are to keep going or give up. But what if there’s a third option? What if we simply pause? A pause isn’t failure. It isn’t quitting. It’s creating enough space to pay attention—to ourselves, to our lives, and to what God may be stirring beneath the surface. As we head into summer, I want to invite you into that same practice. Where might you need a little more room to breathe? What might you discover if you gave yourself permission to slow down and listen? In this episode, I talk about: * Why I’ve decided to pause the podcast for the summer * The difference between quitting and pausing * How busyness can keep us from hearing what our lives are trying to tell us * Why growth isn’t the same as constant production * The connection between curiosity and clarity * The importance of creating space before demanding answers * Questions to help you discern what needs your attention in this season Reflection Questions: * What feels more like an obligation than inspiration right now? * Where do I need a little more space? * What could curiosity look like in this season? * What am I afraid might happen if I pause? * What might become possible if I do? Stay Connected This Summer While the podcast is taking a break until September, I’ll still be sharing encouragement and reflections through my email list. Whether you’ve listened to one episode or all 150+, I’m so grateful you’ve chosen to walk alongside me. Sometimes the next chapter doesn’t begin with a plan. Sometimes it begins with a pause.
