This series of podcasts has been produced to provide visitor information and inspiration for the Stour Valley area. The Stour Valley is a picturesque landscape, including the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering an array of activities and places of interest. From hiking and cycling, museums and art to locally produced food and crafts, the valley has something for everyone. With a wealth of history and heritage that can be explored through the valley’s many historic churches and areological sites, as well as beautiful nature reserves for wildlife spotting, the valley provides a calm and tranquil landscape for exploring. These podcasts will take a look at these different themes, features and places of interest within the Stour Valley, with the aim to inspire visitors to come and explore the area. These podcasts have been produced within the ‘Improving the Stour Valley for Visitors’ project, which aims to broaden awareness and build brand identity of the Stour Valley as a visitor destination, and provide quality information and service facilitation for visitors. The Improving the Stour Valley for Visitors project is funded by LEADER: The Rural Development Programme for England, which on turn is part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The project is hosted by The Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and Stour Valley Project team, which is in turn hosted by Suffolk County Council.
