With Love and Aloha - A Life Coaching Podcast
For today’s Aloha Friday episode, I’m going to teach you about the Hawaiian word for star: hōkū 🌟 and different variations of the word, like shooting star and other guiding stars 💫 We explore the importance of stars in Hawaiian culture and how they have guided voyagers across the Pacific for generations. We also talk about traditions such as the canoe Hōkūleʻa and the efforts to keep the art of non-instrument navigation alive through observation, knowledge, and a deep connection to the natural world 🤍 Stars have long served as guides, helping people find their way across vast oceans. In many ways, they can still serve as guides today. While we may not navigate by the stars in our daily lives, we all encounter moments when we're searching for direction, making decisions, or charting a new course. The stars remind us that our main “North Star” or purpose can often provide us with direction and guidance to follow 🤍 And if you'd like to hear a deeper reflection of my take on perspective, wonder, and the lessons that nature can teach us, be sure to listen to the previous episode this week as well, where I reflect on my night on Kilauea under the stars 🌋🌌✨ #stars #hoku #nahoku #podcast #lifecoachingpodcast
