Fun Friday: Exploring Decopolis in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Hi, everyone, welcome to Fun Friday with Peggyann Kennedy! Today we're checking out Decopolis, an eclectic and fascinating bookstore with a coffee shop attached to it. It's right off Route 66, too, a historic highway with a lot of history to it. This Decopolis has ice cream and coffee, along with many other things to look at: gems, journals, candy, art canvases and brushes, and games, to name a few! I bought a little Edgar Allan Poe raven, a small Egyptian doodad, some Japanese candy, a canvas, and a caramel coffee! Kimberly Drymon had to drag me away from the books, though...I hope you enjoy this short video and, if you don't live near or around Tulsa, that you can find a fun place like this near you! Please forgive me for taking so long! I'm learning! Today's podcast episode features special guest Sean Fitzgibbon who successfully self-published his own graphic nonfiction novel a few years ago! It is a unique and rare genre, and in it, he combines newspaper clippings, interviews, and his own illustrations to tell a dark, sad, but in the end, hopeful true story about Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
