This week on the 8 Tracks podcast, the boys have another fun show for the fans, headlined by another Album Review! This week we are turning the clock back to 1981 for Journey's smash hit "Escape. We run through this star studded track list including "Don't Stop Believin'", but also put the spotlight firmly on this album's deep cuts that really round out the music. "Escape" is classic Journey so if you're a fan of the 80s and this band, make sure you tune in! In addition, the boys discuss the passing of two legends in record produce Clive Davis and founding member of Chicago Walter Parazaider. Mike has the usual shenanigans cooked up with great "This Day in Music History" and "Grooves of the Week" segments. Nick also breaks the news of Oliva Rodrigo's all women music festival and that Dave Matthews Band will now by live on the NUGS app! We round out the show with a few Vinyl Friday Recaps including Van Morrison's "Moondance" and The Band's "Stage Fright". You can find every episode of this show here on Spotify, and Apple Podcast with new episodes dropping every other Friday.

Episode 89 - Bob Dylan and Windy City Smoke Out/Hootie Concert Review, RIP Bonnie Tyler

This week on the 8 Tracks podcast, we have a fully loaded show, headlined by multiple concert reviews. This past week Mike went to Windy City Smoke Out to see Hootie and the Blowfish and both the boys saw Bob Dylan in Chicago. We discuss both experiences, enjoying BBQ, seeing a music legend in Bob and enjoying a phone free concert experience! Finally, Nick has some "Music Current Events" discussing music legend Bonnie Tyler who sadly passed away this past week at the age of 75. In addition, Mike has the usual shenanigans cooked up with two "Grooves of the Week" and another great "This Day in Music History" segment. We also discuss (some of us) enjoying country music in the summer and the boys round it out with a few Vinyl Friday Recaps including Rush's "Permanent Waves" and Bruce Springsteen's "Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.". This week on the 8 Tracks podcast, the boys have a FULLY loaded show for the fans, headlined by the return of Snake Drafts after a long hiatus! After a long break we will be running through our favorite songs about trains! Inspired by a recent trip to visit the legendary Big Boy No. 4014 locomotive on its visit to the Chicago suburbs, our good first Big Ry joins the show as we run through all our favorite tunes about trains big and small and riding the rails. In addition, we have a new segment called "Wanna Get Mad at a List" in which we debate the New York Times recent list of the "Top American Song Writers". Mike then runs through his two favorite segments with another great "On This Day in Music History" and two new "Groove of the Week" recaps. Nick rounds out the show with two great "Vinyl Friday" recaps including Bruce Springsteen's "Nebraska" and Nirvana's "Nevermind".
