Ever feel like you have no idea what you're doing in your author business or what you should be doing? In this episode I want to offer you some direction, and a different way of seeing your author journey. When I first started out, I tried to do exactly what the successful writers around me were doing. It sent me in circles for longer than I'd like to admit. What I learned is that God has a specific way He's growing each of us, and our author life will never look quite like anyone else's. We look at why following someone else's publishing road so often leads to a dead end, what David and Gideon teach us about being chosen and used by God, and six honest reasons we reach for someone else's methods instead of our own. Then I share something close to my heart: how to recognize what God may be growing in your own writing life right now, so you can stop measuring yourself against everyone else and start tending the calling that's actually yours. If you've been feeling stuck, unseen, or unsure whether you're even on the right track, this episode is for you. You'll walk away lighter, freer, and more confident in the author journey God has you on. 🎁 What's God Growing in Your Writing Life Right Now?            👉    Take the free GROWTH quiz [https://AnointedScribe.com/quiz] Suggest a topic [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2396618/fan_mail/new] Support the show [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2396618/support] _____________________________________ 💌  Friday Manna Newsletter™️ [https://anointedscribe.myflodesk.com/join-the-tribe]  🤩 Rate & Review this Podcast [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/anointed-scribe-christian-writer-business-gods-way/id1779524392/write-review] Your support in sharing this show and leaving a review is greatly appreciated.

88 | Christian Author Success: Can You Want More and Still Be Content?

🎁 Not sure what needs your attention most right now? Take the free two-minute Growth Quiz™ [https://AnointedScribe.com/quiz] and receive your personalized starting point: AnointedScribe.com/quiz Can you want a profitable, successful author business and still be content in Christ? Many Christian authors feel spiritually conflicted about wanting more readers, stronger book sales, greater opportunities, and a healthy return on everything they have invested in their writing career. We may minimize those desires because we fear they reveal pride or discontentment. Or we chase growth through hustle and pressure while wondering whether our ambition still honors God. In this episode, Urcelia shares honestly from her own author journey as she explores the difference between caring about your results and depending on them. You'll discover what biblical contentment actually means, how godly ambition can become tangled with identity and approval, and why your KDP dashboard should inform your author business decisions without determining your worth. You'll also learn:  • Why wanting profit and impact can be part of faithful stewardship  • How to recognize when your author success is carrying emotional or spiritual weight  • The difference between contentment and complacency  • What it means to build a Christian author business for God's glory  • How to set an author business goal without sacrificing your peace, integrity, health, or relationships Stay until the end for three reflection questions designed to help you examine what you genuinely want from your author business, what may be driving that desire, and how you want to pursue your author success moving forward. This is an episode you may want to save, revisit with your notebook, and share with another Christian writer who has ever felt guilty for wanting more. 87 | Author Social Media Without Oversharing: Protect Your Privacy and Connect With Readers

Authors are expected to show up on social media, build a personal brand, and let readers see the person behind the books. But how much of your life do you need to share to connect with readers without compromising your privacy or online safety? In this episode, Urcelia shares seven practical ways authors can create a warm, genuine social media presence without oversharing. You will learn how to decide what belongs in your public, protected, and private circles, recognize identifying details hidden in posts and photos, avoid exposing your location in real time, and create safe content categories that still allow readers to know you. You will also learn how to audit the information already available about you online, protect your social media accounts, and set wise boundaries that help you show up with greater confidence. Because your readers can recognize your voice, values, personality, and work without having unrestricted access to your home, family, movements, or private life. In this episode: • How to set social media boundaries before you post • The difference between personal and identifying information • Why you should delay location-based posts • What to share when you want to keep your life private • How to audit your existing online presence • Practical ways to strengthen your account security • A four-question check to use before your next post Scripture: Proverbs 27:12  👉 Take the free Growth Quiz™ [https://anointedscribe.com/quiz] to discover what God may be growing in your author business right now. © 2026 Urcelia Teixeira. 85 | How Good Days Shake Your Author Life | Christian Writers Encouragement

Take the Growth Quiz™ [https://anointedscribe.com/quiz] Your book finally starts selling, the good reviews land, and instead of celebrating, you feel unsettled. Good days can shake your author life more than the hard ones, and Scripture is plain about why. We spend so much of our writing life bracing for the slow months and the book launches that fall flat. Almost nobody prepares us for when the good days come. So when success arrives, we grip it too tightly or start taking the credit for it, and either way our eyes drift off God. I share the win that caught me off guard and walk through three passages that show Christian writers how to receive a good thing without losing themselves in it. You'll come away with four simple ways to receive the good things God brings while keeping your eyes on Him, plus a gentle heart check for whatever season your author business is in right now.
