Wildfires scorching Los Angeles, fires in the Hudson Valley, floods in the mountains of North Carolina. Severe weather exacerbated by Climate Change is causing disasters in areas where it was never expected to be, or where it was not very likely to happen. What does that mean for Prairie Crossing? What are we the most in danger of suffering? What can we do to mitigate the damage?

He's also authored a book on Abraham Lincoln's non-war-related contributions to our nation, He is an actively working journalist, County Board member, Forest Preserve commissioner, and a fascinating person. This far-ranging conversation recalls construction vehicles rumbling on what is now our walking trails, to how he found out about the bees, to what it means to retire.
