She is a lovely mother of three and proud grandmother of three. She attended the public schools of Seminole county, Florida and graduated from Seminole high school in 1992. She has nearly 30 years experience in law-enforcement with nearly 20 of those years in a leadership position. She is employed with the Seminole Sherrif’s Office as a captain assigned to the John E Polk correctional facility. Latisha earned her bachelors degree in general studies and her masters degree and leadership. She has a passion for speaking to an aspiring young woman in her community. Her passion comes  from being a teenage single mother.She knows firsthand the importance of having positive role models in her life. In 2020she started her own nonprofit organization SHE WAS ME, Inc. her vision for the organization is to be a beacon of hope to young women who are currently experiencing the same thing she experienced in her past. The model of the organization can be defined in three words NEVER GIVE UP! Latisha is a recent published author with the release of her debut book, “ROAR”~Rising Over Adversity Resiliently. In it, she shares her journey of overcoming the challenge of being a teenage mother, and rising to become an award-winning Her story is one of resilience, determination and triumph. She is the founder of Issalivestyle by Lin Green, a future TEDx speaker, and the author of Enough with the Secrets, Mama!, which was featured in Times Square and Publishers Weekly. Her book is also catalogued in 3 Seminole County Public Libraries, in the the Maitland Public Library, and under catalog review at the Orlando Public Library.  As co-founder of Green Consulting, LLC, she provides expertise in training, program development, and public speaking on topics such as women empowerment, resilience, mental health, burnout prevention, human trafficking prevention, and leadership. Lin is a monthly columnist for the Sanford Herald, a regular blog contributor for Village Connect, an advisory board member for Feed and Fortify, and a Fox 35 News Care Force Award recipient. She’s co-authored two anthologies benefiting the Seminole County Public Library friends of the library program.  She is also a founding member of ThriveWithin, a wellness initiative focused on personal and professional growth. Born, raised, and educated in Winter Park, FL, she attended Seminole State College before earning her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Mountain State University. She is married to Jonathan McGriff, and together they have a blended family of five. Passionate about serving vulnerable communities, Tawana co-founded LaShai House in 2015 with her husband, providing support for youth aging out of the foster care system. She later expanded these efforts, launching the LaShai House Day Camp in 2022 for children in foster care without placement and establishing the LaShai House Group Home in 2023 for at-risk girls ages 8-17. Today, she serves as the COO of LaShai House and is also the co-owner of LaShai House Holdings. Beyond her work with foster youth, Tawana is the founder of Spread the Love, an organization dedicated to uplifting and supporting women. She also co-founded the Shelter Church of God in Christ in Winter Springs, FL, further demonstrating her commitment to faith and community service. A true visionary, Tawana continues to impact lives through her leadership, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to those in need.
