The picnic as we know it today didn't exist until after the French Revolution when royal parks opened to the public for the first time, popularizing picnics. By the early 1800's the concept of picnic spreads to Britain and the rest of the Isles, with an official Picnic Society meeting regularly near the Pantheon in London. Mascots have been around for over 130 years. The term was popularized in the 18th century when a French composer wrote the opera "La Mascotte." The work became so popular that it was translated into English as "The Mascot," meaning any animal, person, or object which brings good luck. Then on November 11, 1882, according to a sports article in the London newspaper "The Era," a football match between Middlesbrough Association and a newly formed team named La Mascotte took place in which one player dressed up in a costume. This was most likely the first mascot in the sports world. Costumed mascots appeared in the mid-20th century, which allowed teams to choose any creature to become their ambassador. Nowadays, mascots stir up the fan base, entertain and also educate. They have filled all American landscapes. Mascots aren't just for sports...they are also commonly used to represent consumer products...like Mr. Peanut and the Enegizer Bunny.

Waterfalls connect us to nature's raw power and grace, they sustain ecosystems, and communities often rely on them for clean water and energy. And If travel isn't an option, stream waterfall videos or documentaries. Plenty of high-quality films offer stunning views and relaxing sounds.

By 1916 Dr. George Washington Carver publishes the Tuskegee Institute bulletin "How to Grow the Peanut and 105 Ways of Preparing it for Human Consumption," featuring several recipes for peanut-based cookies and desserts.
