This book explores a theological and mythic interpretation of Roman history, centering on the premise that Rome was birthed and defined by the war-god Mars. By examining the legend of Romulus and Remus, the author argues that Rome’s foundation through fratricide and sacred boundaries established a spiritual blueprint for its future imperial power. The narrative suggests that Rome successfully domesticated martial violence into disciplined systems of law, legionary machinery, and civic ritual for centuries. However, this order was ultimately challenged by the arrival of Attila the Hun, who is presented as the return of an undomesticated Mars acting as a divine scourge against the city. Ultimately, the text uses biblical theology and Psalm 82 to frame these historical shifts as a grand cycle of divine judgment over an empire that claimed the sword as its father.
