And thus, we enter......endgame....It's that time, one last time, as we bring our beloved miniseries to a close. And what a note to go out on, amirite? This episode, Howard, Mrs. Hollow and also Hollow sit down and gab about COOL WORLD (1992), a notorious flop that more or less killed Ralph Bakshi's directorial career. But like many of his works, it's gone on to attain a sort of cult status. Is it a case of audiences just not being ready for a transformative work of genius? (Spoiler: no, it's just an atrociously poor movie) Come along on a magical journey as we talk about Gabriel Byrne having sex, films that break themselves, accidental racism, Chekhov's fat guy in a comic store, why Howard is getting so worked up about it, national unity and the importance of knowing how to say no to others. Episode 4: EPISODE FOUR: FIRE AND ICE (1983)

Game on, Bakshi Bros! Time for a new episode with the Mayor, Hollow's Wife, and also Hollow! And this time we're looking at a movie that, uh.....certainly came out in 1983. We're looking at FIRE AND ICE, a barely remembered film despite being a collaboration between the Big Dog and Frank "Sword Tits" Franzetta! Is there value in looking back, or is childhood best left behind like so many empty beer cans? And what's with all the creeping fascism in sword-and-sandal narratives? Come along on a magic journey as we unpack why this film is so technically polished and utterly unremarkable - Em gets some great laugh lines, Howard dicks around with his groovebox and Hollow starts a number of anecdotes, and remembers to finish one of them. We also find the lighter side of the guy who wrote THE BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER's tragic end, so there's really something for everybody. Next time - capping off this glorious journey with the logical endpoint of our arc and the notable end of studios trusting Ralph Bakshi with their money!
