This week, we are stripping away the filters and stepping into the heaviest, rawest chapter of my life. If you’ve ever felt like the weight of the entire world was resting solely on your shoulders while the sky remained completely silent, this episode is for you. I’m opening up about the exhausting reality of watching a second parent battle cancer and navigating the brutal side effects of treatment. When trauma repeats itself, it forces you to face the questions no one wants to ask out loud: Why them? Why is this happening again? What is the actual purpose of this suffering?  I’m diving deep into the profound crisis of faith that comes when you are screaming, crying, and begging God for relief, only to feel met with total silence. To make a heavy situation even heavier, I’m talking about the unique, isolating burden of being an only child. There is no sibling to split the hospital shifts with, no one to share the emotional or financial strain, and no one else who truly gets it. It’s just me. This episode is a look at the bone-deep mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion of watching your parents age while having to become their caregiver completely alone. It’s messy, it’s angry, and it’s completely unfiltered.  If you are running on empty, questioning your faith, or drowning in caregiver burnout, pull up a chair. You are not as alone as you feel. In this episode, we discuss: -The emotional whiplash of facing your second parent's cancer diagnosis. -Questioning God’s plan and wrestling with a crisis of faith when prayers feel unanswered. -The hidden reality of the only-child caregiver: Isolation, role reversal, and carrying the logistical weight alone. Validating total mental, physical, and emotional burnout without the toxic positivity. #CanIBitchPodcast #CanIBitch #newepisode  #OnlyChild #OnlyChildProblems #CancerWarrior #CancerSupport #ChemoSideEffects #FamilyFirst #GriefJourney #AnticipatoryGrief #CrisisOfFaith #QuestioningGod #FaithJourney #ScreamingAtTheSky #MentalHealthMatters #RawAndUnfiltered #EmotionalExhaustion #ItsOkayNotToBeOkay #realtalk

Episode 7: The Man, The Myth, The PTA Legend

Grab a glass of this week’s Drink of the Week—a Manhattan Special—because today, we’re heading to the city☕️🏙️ In this very special "Open Letter" episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on the man who started it all: my daddy. Two years ago we lost him, but today isn’t about dwelling on the grief—it’s about celebrating the absolute legend he was. We’re taking a trip down memory lane, from those grainy 90s mornings commuting into New York City for Bring Your Daughter to Work Day, to the epic, sun-drenched pool parties that defined my childhood birthdays. We’re also talking about his iconic status as the Star PTA Dad—the only man brave enough to navigate a sea of PTA moms with his signature wit and dedication. This is a story about the happy parts, the New York hustle, and the father who taught me how to be the person I am today. It’s funny, it’s nostalgic, and it’s a total tribute to my one-of-a-kind guy. In this episode, we’re chatting about: The NYC Hustle: What it was like being his "plus one" in the heart of the city. Poolside Vibes: Why Joe was the undisputed king of the summer birthday bash. The PTA Icon: Breaking down his legendary status at school meetings. A Daughter’s Letter: A final, joyful word on the lessons and laughs he left behind. Cheers to you, Daddy ❤️   #OpenLetterToMyDad #GriefAndGratitude #CelebratingLife #DadTribute #GirlDad #FamilyMemories #PTADad #ManhattanSpecial  #NYCStyle #90sChildhood #BringYourDaughterToWorkDay #NewYorkNostalgia #Y2KAesthetic #PodcastRecommendations #Storytime #FatherDaughter #NewEpisodeAlert #LifeStories

Episode 6: The Red Flag Release: How Dakota Mortensen Tanked the Bachelorette

Buckle up, because this week we are diving deep into the toxic cycle of Taylor Frankie Paul and the man who arguably executed the ultimate reality TV sabotage: Dakota Mortensen. We’re breaking down the calculated timeline of events that led to ABC pulling the plug on Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette. Was it a coincidence, or a strategic strike? We discuss: •The Three-Year Vault: Why Dakota held onto that specific video for three years, only to leak it days before Taylor’s premiere. •The "Stephen DeMarco" Energy: Comparing Dakota’s manipulation tactics to the infamous Tell Me Lies character and how the "nice guy" facade is used to keep someone trapped in a cycle. •The Cost of Sabotage: How a chance at a fresh start and a career-defining opportunity was snatched away by a partner who couldn’t let go. •The Aftermath: What happens when your personal life becomes a weapon used against your professional future. Grab your wine, hit the group chat, and let’s get into the mess. Can I bitch? Episode 5: The Porchcast

Grab a drink and pull up a chair—we’re taking the pod outside! For Episode 5, we are officially hosting our first "porch-cast" live from my screened-in sanctuary. As the birds chirp in the background, we’re diving into the heavy reality of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Why is it that the second the sun starts setting at 4:30 PM, our collective motivation—and will to live—completely hits the floor? We’re breaking down: * The Geography of Gloom: Why where you live on the map might be sabotaging your serotonin. * The Hard Truths: Looking at the startling statistics of how many people are actually struggling in the shadows. * The Spring Awakening: Why we suddenly feel like "real people" again the moment the first flower pops up. * Crowdsourced Cures: I’m sharing your best tips from Instagram on how you guys reclaim your "spark" when the world goes grey. Whether you’re currently in a funk or just soaking up the vitamin D while it lasts, this episode is a reminder that you aren’t lazy—you might just be light-deprived. Let’s bitch about the winter blues and find a way back to the light.
