With your local Waupaca news for this Monday, July 6th, I'm Durant Popple. The Waupaca Library and Historical Society have partnered to create a display "Waupaca Serves: A Story of Waupaca's Veterans and the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King".  The display is up at the bandstand on the city hall / library front lawn.  This shows how Waupaca served our country through the years and how the Veteran's home in King has served these veterans for nearly 140 years. The display will stay up through the end of August. The library and the Chain Exploration Center are sharing the CEC's community garden this summer.  They are planting, tending, and harvesting vegetables to stock the library's little free pantry.  If you'd like to help, you don't need experience or equipment, just stop by.  They are looking to get a group together for about an hour on the first and third Monday July and August, starting at 9am.  If you have questions on this process, you can reach out to the library by calling them at 715 258 4414. The water and sewer utility board will meet tomorrow.  There will be discussion on a few things, including an update on Elm Street, and the hiring of a 4th water operator.  Action will also be taken on the change order regarding well 4's rehabilitation.  These meetings are open to the public, and will be taking place at 1pm in the council chambers in city hall.  If you'd like to attend but require special accommodations, please reach out to the city clerk's office for assistance. That's your local news update, you can always get your news on air on online with your favorite podcast platform.  Get started at Waupaca dot Podbean dot com.
