What happens when God calls us somewhere we never planned to go? In Acts 8 [https://www.bible.com/bible/1713/ACT.8.CSB], the early church is suddenly scattered by persecution after the death of Stephen. What looked like tragedy and disruption became the very thing God used to spread the gospel beyond Jerusalem. Through Philip’s obedience, we see how God often works most powerfully when we are stretched beyond our comfort zones. This message explores how God uses difficult circumstances, unexpected opportunities, and ordinary conversations to accomplish extraordinary purposes. From Samaria to the Ethiopian official on the Gaza road, Philip simply obeyed, opened his mouth, and trusted God to work. If you’ve ever felt uncertain, uncomfortable, or unqualified to share your faith, this sermon is a reminder that God doesn’t call us to have everything figured out — He calls us to trust Him and take the next step of obedience.
