Clean Crime
In September 2003, 17-year-old Justine Vanderschoot of Auburn, California, disappeared and was later found buried alive. The case exposed patterns of teen dating violence, led to community activism, and inspired "Justine's Law," which mandates dating violence prevention education in California high schools. The Vanderschoot family keeps her memory alive through a garden and public advocacy as parole reviews continue.
