The Club Kali dancefloor became a home away from home. Here people formed lifelong friendships and found their chosen family.  People to dance with, to fall in love with, make connections with. And,  to become part of a lifelong, supportive, global community which went way beyond the club walls.  This podcast series is part of Club Kali’s Where East Meets West Project, and is compiled from oral histories recorded as part of the project.  It is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery players. It was produced in collaboration with Social Broadcasts. With audio production and sound design by Lucia Scazzocchio. The content coordinator was Jazz Bhopal. Narrated by Deni Francis. With music courtesy of Kuljit Bhamra and Botown. With special thanks to all the contributors who agreed to share their stories.
