Come Follow Me Meditations
Inspired by this week’s Come Follow Me lesson (June 22–28) from 2 Samuel 11–12 and 1 Kings 3; 6–9; 11, children will journey through Solomon’s dream, his request for a wise and understanding heart, the building of the temple, and the wonderful promise that God always listens to His children. This peaceful Christian bedtime story is designed to help children feel safe, loved, and close to God as they drift off to sleep. Tonight’s Come Follow Me bedtime story follows young King Solomon as he learns a beautiful truth: no prayer is too small for God to hear. God hears little prayers. In tonight’s story, children will discover: • Solomon’s prayer for wisdom • Why he built a temple for the Lord • God’s promise to hear His people • That every sincere prayer matters • How God listens to children, too • The comfort of God’s presence at bedtime Scriptures: • 1 Kings 3 • 1 Kings 6–8 • 2 Samuel 11–12 • 1 Kings 11 Whether your family is studying Come Follow Me, looking for a Christian bedtime story, or creating a peaceful bedtime routine centered on Jesus Christ, we hope this story helps your little ones feel God’s love.
