Peace Under Pressure | Acts 12How do you find peace when the pressure feels impossible? In Acts 12, Peter is sitting in prison, chained between soldiers, awaiting what seems like certain death. Yet instead of panicking, he sleeps peacefully. Why? Because Peter had planted God's Word so deeply in his heart that it produced peace when pressure came.In this message, we'll discover that the enemy's goal is to steal what God has planted in you, but when you guard His Word, His Word begins to guard you. The peace you long for isn't found in escaping pressure—it's found in trusting the One who is with you in the middle of it.We'll also see that God's answers often come through simple acts of obedience, that His deliverance doesn't always happen the way we expect, and that every trial you face has the potential to become a testimony that advances His Kingdom.Scripture References:• Acts 12:1–24• Mark 4:14–40• Isaiah 26:3• Isaiah 49:2• Revelation 12:11• 2 Corinthians 4:16–17No matter what you're facing today, remember this: You are an arrow in God's quiver. The pressure isn't pointless—God can use it to sharpen your testimony, strengthen your faith, and bring glory to His name.If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs hope today.

Beyond The Wall: Acts 11 | Compassion Church Dickson | Tommy Hodges

Beyond the Wall | Acts 11What kind of church will we become? In Acts 11, Peter returns to Jerusalem expecting celebration after God moved powerfully among the Gentiles. Instead, he's met with criticism. While lives were being changed, some were more concerned with traditions than transformation. This message challenges every believer with three powerful questions:• Will we build walls… or build bridges?• Will we protect our preferences… or pursue people?• Will we receive grace… or become grace?Jesus didn't tear down the walls of division so we could rebuild them. He tore them down so His Church could become a bridge, connecting people to hope, healing, and the life-changing love of Christ. As the Gospel spread from Jerusalem to Antioch, we see that God's mission was never meant to stop with us. Grace that is received should become grace that is given. Revival isn't just something we experience, it's something we carry into the lives of others.Whether you're new to faith or have followed Jesus for years, this message will challenge you to move beyond comfort, beyond tradition, and beyond the wall to live out the mission of Christ.*"The world doesn't need another church that's debating the mission. It needs a church that's living the mission."*If this message encouraged you, be sure to like this video, subscribe to the channel, and share it with someone who needs the hope of Jesus today.📍 Visit Compassion Church3525 Highway 70 W. Breaking Down the Wall l Acts 10 | Pastor Tommy Hodges

What walls have we built that are keeping us from God's purpose? In Acts 10, we encounter one of the most transformative moments in the early church. Through the story of Peter and Cornelius, God reveals a powerful truth: the gospel was never meant for one group of people, it was always meant for everyone. The Jews were called to be a blessing to the nations, not separated from them. Yet over time, being set apart became being isolated. What was intended to reflect God's holiness slowly became a wall of division. But Jesus came to tear down every dividing wall.**Big Idea:** *The walls that keep us from God's purpose are built one brick at a time, but God can tear them down one brick at a time.*In this message, we explore four bricks that often build barriers in our hearts:🧱 **Brick #1: Assumptions***"I've already decided."*Peter assumed Gentiles were unclean, outside of God's plan, and beyond His reach. Sometimes the walls we build begin with assumptions we've never questioned.🧱 **Brick #2: Fear***"What will happen if I obey?"*Fear doesn't usually tell us not to obey God—it simply whispers, *"Maybe tomorrow."* Peter had to move beyond hesitation and trust God's leading.🧱 **Brick #3: Limits**Peter had placed limits on God's grace. He believed there were people beyond God's reach, but God was expanding Peter's understanding of who belongs in His family.🧱 **Brick #4: Partiality***"God loves us more than them."*Peter finally declares, *"I perceive that God shows no partiality."* God's grace knows no boundaries, no backgrounds, and no barriers.**Peter's journey reminds us:**• Assumptions distort our vision.• Fear delays obedience.• Limits restrict what God wants to do.• Partiality divides what Jesus died to unite. The miracle of Acts 10 isn't only that Cornelius received the gospel—it's that Peter's heart was transformed so he could faithfully share it.God didn't just tear down the wall between Peter and Cornelius.**He tore down the wall inside Peter.**📖 Scripture Reference: Acts 10:1–35If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs the reminder that God's grace is for everyone.📍 Visit Compassion Church3525 Highway 70 W. Fathers Day at Compassion Church | Bedridden & Paralyzed | Jamie Grisham

In Acts 9:32–35, we see a simple but powerful story: a man, a bed, a word, a healing, and a whole region changed.Aeneas had been bedridden and paralyzed for eight years, but when Peter spoke the name of Jesus over his situation, everything changed. Jesus didn’t just heal him — He called him to get up, take responsibility, and leave behind the place that had defined him for too long. This message is for anyone who feels stuck, shut down, spiritually passive, or tired of going through the motions. Because motion is not the same as progress, and comfort can quietly become a prison.Where have you become bedridden? In your marriage? Your integrity? Your calling? Your walk with God?Healing is a gift, but getting up is a choice. When one man got up, two towns were impacted. Aeneas didn’t preach a sermon — he lived one.📍 Visit Compassion Church3525 Highway 70 W. The Great Interruption: Acts 9 | Jamie Grisham | Compassion Church Dickson

What happens when Jesus steps into the path of someone headed in the wrong direction? In Acts 9, we witness one of the most powerful transformations in Scripture as Saul, the church’s fiercest persecutor, encounters Jesus on the road to Damascus and leaves forever changed. This message reminds us that radical change doesn’t always begin in a church building. Sometimes it starts on an unexpected road, in the middle of brokenness, failure, or uncertainty. Jesus still interrupts destructive paths, exposes spiritual blindness, and rewrites the purpose of anyone willing to surrender to Him.In this sermon, we explore:* How God’s interruptions are often acts of mercy, not punishment.* Why information without an encounter with Jesus can still leave us spiritually blind.* The obedience of Ananias and how one simple “yes” can impact generations.* How God’s grace is greater than your past, your failures, or your mistakes.* Why no one is too far gone for the transforming power of Christ. No matter where you’ve been or what road you’re on today, the same Jesus who met Saul is still calling people into new life. He still saves. He still heals. He still restores. And He still uses broken people for His glory.📖 Scripture: Acts 9:1–22If this message encouraged you, be sure to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs the reminder that their story isn’t over.📍 Visit Compassion Church3525 Highway 70 W.
