Today we're heading into one of Charleston, South Carolina's most unique culinary spaces — Chef's Collective, a hands-on cooking school and commissary kitchen that is unlike anything else in the area. I stumbled upon Chef's Collective while looking for a genuine hands-on cooking experience in Charleston — and I'm so glad I did. I speak with chef and owner, Katie Williams, and partner, chef, and my Thai Street Food cooking class instructor, James Neal, about starting the business and the teaching energy that makes total beginners feel like they belong in a kitchen.
