Greg McKeown, author of Essentialism (which had a huge impact on my thinking) and Effortless (his newest book as of 2021, that I'm stoked to read) was just a guest on the Tim Ferriss podcast and the episode had a strong reoccurring theme of gratitude. I furiously took notes and will be distributing the gems that I mined over the next few podcasts. These will be short but will give you something deep to consider. Today we ponder this saying... "If you focus on what you have, you gain what you lack. If you focus on what you lack, you lose what you have." Support the show [https://paypal.me/GeoffreyBlake ] (https://paypal.me/GeoffreyBlake )

Daily Gratitude EP. 10 - Actionable tips for finding Gratitude when your in agony!

Hearing Greg McKeown talk about how his daughter's undiagnosable brain condition could have torn his family apart, but didn't, really speaks to the power of gratitude. In his own eloquent words, "What was agonizing, but could have been worse, was punctuated with joy." His advice was to find something/anything to be grateful for and say it. Say it clearly and say it loud! His family also said it with each other, and that may have been the most powerful part.
