This podcast evaluates the significance of The Met Galas cultural contributions through examining it's history, performative nature, and uncanny similarities with a dystopian fiction. The sociological theories of Veblen and Bourdieu exploring high culture and upper class behaviours are used to analyse, alongside contributions of first hand experiences from fashion students.
