Trusting God is easier when we are looking backward. In today’s devotional, we reflect on Proverbs 3 and the challenge of trusting God not only with the stories He has already finished, but with the chapter we are living in right now. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 It is remarkable to read the stories of Scripture from the other side of history. We can see fulfilled prophecies, answered promises, and the faithfulness of God woven through every page. But living inside the story feels different. This devotional explores: • Why trust is hardest in the present moment • The danger of leaning entirely on our own understanding • How God sees the complete story when we only see the current chapter • Why faith means trusting God beyond what we can currently comprehend We see the closed door. God sees what is being prepared behind it. We see the detour. God sees where it leads. The people of Scripture trusted God without having the completed pages we now hold in our hands. And their faith became evidence that God can still be trusted in seasons we do not fully understand. Your life is not separate from that story. You are living inside a chapter of it. Trust is not the absence of questions. It is placing what we cannot understand into the hands of the One who can be trusted with it. 📖 Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement. #ChristianPodcast #TrustGod #Faith #BibleDevotional #ChristianEncouragement #Proverbs3 #DailyDevotional Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. aflevering Use What You Have artwork

Use What You Have

Faith does not have to be large to be powerful. In today’s devotional, we look at Jesus’ words in Matthew 17 and the reminder that God often works through small faith that is willing to be used. “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed…” — Matthew 17:20 There are moments in life when what we have feels completely insufficient. The mountain in front of us looks too large. The problem feels impossible. And we convince ourselves we need more strength, more certainty, or more faith before we can move forward. But Jesus points to a mustard seed. One of the smallest seeds imaginable. Small enough to overlook. Small enough to underestimate. And yet Jesus says faith that small can move mountains. This devotional reflects on a moment from EMS work when improvisation became necessary because standard solutions were not enough. What mattered most was not having perfect equipment — it was being willing to use what was already available. Faith works the same way. Many believers are waiting for faith to feel bigger before they step out in obedience. But dormant faith accomplishes nothing. Small faith that is active — that prays, trusts, obeys, and moves — begins to grow. Jesus did not tell the disciples they needed more faith. He told them to use the faith they already had. The mountain in front of you does not require perfect faith. It requires willing faith. Small faith in a big God is always enough. 📖 Scripture: Matthew 17:20 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement. #ChristianPodcast #Faith #BibleDevotional #TrustGod #MustardSeedFaith #ChristianEncouragement #Matthew17 Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. aflevering Conquering Your Doubt artwork

Conquering Your Doubt

Doubt can feel incredibly convincing. In today’s devotional, we look at the story of Thomas in John 20 and the reminder that Jesus is not afraid of our questions, our fears, or the moments when faith struggles to see clearly. “Be not faithless, but believing.” — John 20:27 There are seasons in life when the next step feels far beyond our ability. Opportunities seem too big. Promises feel too distant. And doubt settles in, whispering that staying where we are is safer than trusting God with what we cannot yet see. Thomas understood that feeling. After the resurrection, Thomas struggled to believe what the other disciples had witnessed. He wanted proof. He wanted certainty. And instead of rejecting him, Jesus met him directly in the middle of his doubt. That moment reveals something powerful: doubt is not the opposite of faith — unbelief is. Doubt is often faith wrestling with what it cannot yet fully see. Jesus still meets people there. If you are carrying doubt today, you are not disqualified. God is not intimidated by your questions. He walks directly into uncertain places and calls us forward anyway. The greatest opportunities God places before us are often on the other side of what we cannot yet see clearly. Doubt asks: “What if I fail?” Faith asks: “What if God is right?” 📖 Scripture: John 20:27 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement. #ChristianPodcast #Faith #Doubt #BibleDevotional #ChristianEncouragement #John20 #TrustGod Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. aflevering Feeding Your Faith artwork

Feeding Your Faith

Scripture: Romans 10:17 In this episode of Digging Another Well, we talk about the connection between faith and nourishment. Growing up, I watched my dad tend a garden with incredible consistency. He plowed the ground, planted the seed, watered it faithfully, and prayed over it regularly. At the time, I did not appreciate the work that went into it. But years later, I realized he understood something important: Seeds only grow when they are consistently nourished. Faith works the same way. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Faith is not static. It grows when it is fed and weakens when it is neglected. We are intentional about feeding nearly every other part of our lives — our careers, our relationships, our ambitions, and our bodies — and then we wonder why our faith feels weak when difficult seasons come. This devotional is a reminder that strong faith is usually not built in crisis moments. It is built through consistent time in God’s Word long before the storm arrives. A faith that is regularly nourished develops roots deep enough to hold when life becomes difficult. If the seed of faith has already been planted in your life, do not neglect what it needs to grow. Feed your faith. 📖 More devotionals: https://anotherwell.org [https://anotherwell.org/] 🙏 Subscribe for more daily devotionals and biblical encouragement. #ChristianPodcast #Faith #BibleDevotional #Romans1017 #ChristianEncouragement Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life. aflevering The Best Thing artwork

The Best Thing

Scripture: John 3:16 In this episode of Digging Another Well, we reflect on the greatest thing that can ever happen in a person’s life. There have been many meaningful moments in life — marriage, adoption, milestones, and memories that changed everything. But none of them compare to the moment of salvation. John 3:16 is one of the most recognized verses in all of Scripture: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” Because salvation changes eternity. It is not simply religion or morality. It is the invitation into eternal life through Jesus Christ. A gift purchased at the greatest cost imaginable and offered freely to anyone who believes. If you already know Christ, this devotional is a reminder of the greatest gift you have ever received. And if you have never trusted Him, this could become the best day of your life. The invitation is still open. Exactly as you are. 📖 More devotionals: https://anotherwell.org [https://anotherwell.org] #John316 #ChristianPodcast #Salvation #JesusChrist #ChristianEncouragement Digging Another Well is a devotional podcast from Another Well Ministries, offering short, Scripture-centered reflections to help you walk faithfully with God in everyday life.
