Prolonged fasting has a lot of incredible benefits. Here's what you really need to know before giving it a try. Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 0:00 Introduction: Understanding fasting vs. snacking 3:03 What great thinkers have said about fasting 3:52 Fasting vs. starving 5:30 Critical things you need to know about prolonged fasting 18:33 Learn how to make insulin more sensitive! Today, I’m going to share seven critical things you need to know about prolonged fasting. Fasting is very simple yet very powerful. Snacking is one of the worst things for your insulin and your overall health. Food is nourishing, but to heal your body, you might be better off not eating. Snacking causes hunger, weight gain, fatigue, and moodiness—among other potential health problems. Yet, simply not eating can create so many powerful health effects. Throughout history, many great thinkers, including Hippocrates and Plato, have even had positive things to say about fasting. Seven critical things you need to know about prolonged fasting (72 hours or longer): 1. Only drink water (2.5 liters), tea, and coffee—and take supplements (electrolytes, B vitamins, vitamin D, and vitamin C) 2. Take electrolytes (including sea salt) 3. Go very slow and gradual when refeeding, and avoid carbs, sugar, and a large meal 4. Don’t take apple cider vinegar 5. Do Healthy Keto when you break your fast 6. Understand the dawn phenomenon (your liver is making sugar due to insulin resistance) 7. Know when to break your fast (don’t stop when it’s uncomfortable—push through the transition phase) Disclaimer: Dr. Eric Berg received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1988. Let’s talk about so-called “healthy whole grains.” Eating whole grains is a widespread diet recommendation, but for what reason? Whole wheat bread, for example, is made from whole wheat flour, not refined flour. But, neither type of flour has much fiber, vitamins, phytonutrients, minerals, or protein. Whole grains also contain phytic acid, which blocks the absorption of minerals. The majority of studies on grains compare whole grains to refined grains. Many people already know whole grains are healthier than refined grains. So, why aren’t we comparing the effects of consuming whole grains vs. not consuming whole grains or refined grains? Aren't whole grains heart-healthy? The Cochrane group evaluated nine random-controlled trials and came to the conclusion that there isn’t enough evidence to say that consuming whole grains will reduce your risk of heart disease. However, foods without grains are beneficial for your heart, liver, arteries, and blood sugar levels. Learn more about these foods in my other videos. Does Your Bowel Movement Look Like This? (Signs You're NOT Healthy)

Is my poop normal? What does my poop mean? Did you know that your poop can give crucial digestive health signs way before they show up on any blood test? From poop shape meaning to poop color, find out what your poop is telling you in this video! Watch this episode next: Reset Your Body in 5 Days (With Zero Food) [https://open.spotify.com/episode/4oKZ046rIAE3zwxDb06ZaO] 00:00 Introduction: What your poop says about your health 0:40 Healthy poop vs. unhealthy poop 0:50 Poop shape meaning 2:24 The color of your poop 4:59 Digestive health signs and tips Today, we’re going to talk about poop shape and color, and address gut warning signs in your stool. Normal poop should be brown and sausage-shaped. Small, hard, pellet-shaped poop indicates that something may be wrong higher up in the digestive tract. Soft stool indicates that you may have some missing microbes or food allergies. Pathogens can cause loose stool as your body tries to quickly eliminate them. Unfortunately, with diarrhea and liquid stool, good bacteria are also eliminated. Consume kefir or yogurt with blackberries to restore the good bacteria in your digestive tract. Thin, pencil or cigar-shaped stool signifies a problem in the colon. This could mean the colon is impacted, you have many polyps, or there’s some obstruction in the bowels. You’d want to get this checked by a medical professional. Normal stools should be brown in color. If you have a problem with your liver or you have thickened bile or bile sludge in the bile ducts, your poop will be light-colored or gray. Floating stool that is also light-colored further confirms this problem. If your problem is linked to the pancreas, your stool will have a bad odor and may appear greasy. Rarely, this could be associated with cancer, but most of the time, it is caused by an overworked pancreas. Black stool is often a sign of something more serious, usually caused by oxidized blood. Blueberries and blackberries can also cause black stool. Beets can cause your stool to appear red. Hemorrhoids can cause red stool due to fresh blood. Collinsonia root is an excellent remedy for hemorrhoids. Green stool is usually caused by chlorophyll from vegetable consumption. It’s not normal to poop once every 2 to 3 days. You should have a bowel movement 1 to 2 times daily. Intermittent fasting is the most important thing you can do for your digestive tract. Frequent eating is very problematic and never allows your digestive system the chance to reset. Incomplete digestion usually results from low stomach acid. Betaine hydrochloride is the best remedy for this problem. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. The Secret to Increasing More OXYGEN in Your Cells: ▶️ https://youtu.be/DtVj-U2hU7k DATA: https://www.irishtimes.com/news/science/a-potentially-good-side-of-carbon-dioxide-1.4511166 0:00 Introduction: Nose breathing 0:15 Does nose breathing restrict oxygen? 0:47 Nose breathing benefits 1:25 Nose breathing vs. mouth breathing 9:42 Learn more about oxygen and CO2! Today we’re going to talk about the benefits of nose breathing when you’re sleeping and exercising. When you restrict airflow by breathing through the nose, some very interesting things occur. You actually get more oxygen delivered to your tissues when nose breathing than when you breathe through your mouth. When you breathe through your nose, the sinuses help moisten the air as it goes into the lungs. This protects the lungs from irritation and inflammation. Your nose also helps filter the air as it goes into the lungs and can protect the lungs against pathogens. CO2 isn’t just a waste product. It’s essential. It takes CO2 to push oxygen from your blood into your cells. A few potential side effects of sinus surgery are dry sinuses and difficulty breathing. You need the mucous membranes to balance out oxygen and CO2. Oxygen therapy and certain conditions can also cause low CO2. Low CO2 can cause the body to be more alkaline, which can cause low calcium in the blood. Both of these issues can lead to a myriad of symptoms. When you breathe through your nose, you can increase the amount of oxygen in your cells by about 20%. Nose breathing helps increase the right amount of CO2 in your body to push oxygen into your cells. This will help oxygenate your brain and muscles, especially when you sleep and exercise. Increasing the oxygen in your cells can also help with stress. Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio: Dr. Berg, age 58, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. A 48 to 72-hour fast replaces dead cells with new cells and can have a multi-layer effect on your skin. A healthy diet is also essential! Castor oil can improve stretch marks and scars and boost hair growth. Massage castor oil into your scalp to reduce dandruff and dry scalp. Jamaican black castor oil is the best option for your hair and scalp. Massage castor oil into your feet to address inflammation systemically and use topically to reduce pain.
