This exercise provides practice for increasing your awareness of your body’s tension areas and learning to relax those areas of tension. During this body scan, we will focus attention on each part of our body, moving from our head down to the toes. In each area of your body, bring awareness to any tension, then focus on relaxing the muscles in that area. With every exhale we will release tension in the body. Notice your breath - the inhale, the exhale, and the space in between. Focus on breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension
