Shawn Matthias is a Canadian ice-hockey player who has played 551 NHL games over his eleven year professional career. Shawn was drafted at pick 47 in the 2006 NHL draft and has played for the Florida Panthers, Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanches, the Winnipeg Jets and is currently an unrestricted free agent. His journey from being a gold medalist with the Canadian team at World Juniors to becoming a wily veteran of the NHL is a fascinating one and full of plenty of lessons and teachings that others can learn from
