The fact that we are emotional creatures allows us to experience a far richer life than if we lacked emotions.  The fall of mankind opened a flood gate of evil emotions that will dominate and destroy us, if we allow it.  We are instructed by GOD how to dominate our emotions rather than have our emotions dominate us.
