Hartfelt Miles
In Part 2 of Episode 9 with Arran Williams, adventure coach and ultra-runner, we continue the chat we had from Part 1. Mindfulness is a key theme throughout this episode. We talk about how Arran incorporates it into his daily life, and why he believes many people practise mindfulness more often than they realise. We also explore how it can be a simple yet powerful tool to support your running. We share the mindset strategies we use to get through tough miles, manage challenging moments during races, and approach intimidating distances. We also talk about the importance of failure and how reflecting on them can help us learn and improve. As Arran explains, failures are often never as big as they seem in our heads, and some of the most valuable lessons come from getting things wrong.
