As a clinician and researcher Professor Nick Ralph was passionate about preventing hypothermia. But it was his own personal experience with the condition that propelled Nick to research and design a solution to eradicate the ‘world’s most common serious adverse event in surgery’. Nick is now the Founder and Director of Thermal Armour and has created warming devices for soldiers injured during combat and for use during hospital surgical procedures. We spoke with Nick about his ground-breaking technologies and his mission to eradicate surgical hypothermia from hospitals across the globe.
