Can You Allow Yourself to Mess Up? Let’s Talk About Perfectionism and How to Open Yourself Up to More Magic in Your Life and Business (Ep. 11)

As soon as I finished editing this episode of Hustle Heart, I texted my best friends to tell them not just that I would love for them to listen to this episode, but that I need them to. Here’s why: for years, I've been telling them about how I’m filled with fears—about work, money, my relationship with my now ex, my family, and my future. It feels like I haven’t had a moment of peace in my mind in the last two or three years. They can relate. It wasn’t until I had a really honest and heart-opening chat with Alex, the host of this show, that I realized these fears were a symptom of something bigger. I’ve always wanted to do everything as perfectly as possible, even if that meant that one simple task took me ages to complete. I didn't know that that need for praise and for being seen as a “good girl” was a symptom of the perfectionist within me.  I didn't even know that leading my life and business from this perfectionist version of me wouldn’t let me dream or embrace the magic of creating the reality I desire. In this episode, Alex talks about perfectionism, what it means, and how to identify that trait in your own life experience. Stay for the whole episode, because she also dives into how sacred it is for the feminine creative energy to step away from perfectionism and embrace experiment, joy, and excitement.  I don’t want to spoil the rest because this episode is packed with magic. If you can relate, this is a must-listen.  Here you can find some of this episode’s takeaways:  * Perfectionism is driven by fear and the need for control. * Practicing and allowing yourself to make mistakes is essential for mastering a craft. * Balancing masculine and feminine energy in business is important for creativity and success. * Self-trust is crucial for personal and professional growth. * Letting go of perfectionism and embracing uniqueness leads to self-empowerment. episode What it *Really* Means When You Don’t Feel SEEN. Will it Help When You Become Louder?! Two Truths and a Lie, Alex’ Drops The Mic (Ep 10) artwork
What it *Really* Means When You Don’t Feel SEEN. Will it Help When You Become Louder?! Two Truths and a Lie, Alex’ Drops The Mic (Ep 10)

Can you relate to the feeling of not being heard and seen for who you truly are? Because I can, I certainly do. That feeling, of course, is everchanging. Sometimes it is hard to identify once there. I normalized it by thinking: “Oh it’s fine, people are probably busy” or “Oh it wasn’t such an original idea after all”. I’ve even gone to the point of thinking: “Uuugh thank God nobody saw that, what a shame, how could I ever?”.  OMG or when you launch a new offer in your business, and the only feedback you get is crickets? Such a horrible feeling, right? In this episode, Alex invites us to look at this face to face and identify piece by piece what’s actually lying down this not feeling seen and heard. In this episode, we’re called to reflect on some cultural mandates over women, such as being a good girl in all areas, and how accepting that role has disconnected us from our own unique voice.  Can’t wait for you to listen to this episode, because the more we’re aware of our traits, the more unapologetic we become, and the more we connect with our true inner voice.  Here you can find some of my takeaways:  * Not feeling seen and heard is a symptom that can manifest everywhere, including in relationships and businesses. * People Pleasing has its benefits such as avoiding conflict, but it can never lead to a fulfilling life.  * When fear is the fuel and people-pleasing the motor, you might be leading from a place of lack of self-recognition and identity.  * Our happiness and worthiness are not tied to external validation, but how do we believe that to our core?  Chapters 00:00 Not feeling seen or heard 02:12 The impact of people-pleasing 07:06 Finding your unique voice and identity 12:08 The costs and benefits of people pleasing 21:41 Creating healthy boundaries 38:54 Letting go of the need to please others 45:13 Recognizing the importance of self-worth and happiness Love,  Cinthya Creativa.  Alex's Podcast Manager. Would You Bet a Million Dollars on Yourself?! Lets Talk About Self Doubt, Self Sabotage and Your Tendency to Overthink Descissions (Ep 9)

Alex starts this episode with this question: “Would you bet a million dollars on yourself?”  You probably think that most people would immediately say yes to this question, but I know that you, just like me, would begin to wonder about the meaning of this idea and all the layers at play.  It is so confronting because it teases a reflection regarding self-worth, self-doubts, self-sabotage, and going face to face with our belief system and old narratives we have been telling to ourselves.  In this podcast episode of Hustle Heart, Alex opens the doors to reflect on the way we give or “outsource” our power, the importance of building empowering habits, and how all these pieces together can bring us closer to that reality shift where we bet not just a million dollars but all we have in us for our dreams and goals.  If you haven’t dived into this episode yet, I want to share with you one of the ideas of Alex that made the biggest impact on me this week:  “Isn't it amazing that we can create our own life? Isn't that the best way to predict the future, to create it?” Key takeaways from this episode:  * Believing in yourself is crucial for success and attracting others to support and follow. * Trusting your own intuition and inner guidance is essential for making authentic decisions. * Seeking validation from others can lead to disempowerment and self-doubt. * Embracing imperfections and being authentic allows for genuine connection and personal development. Shifting from the old self to a new identity can be challenging and may lead to feelings of being lost and disconnected. * Self-sabotage is a defense mechanism that keeps us in our familiar zone, but it can hinder personal growth and progress. * Awareness is the first step in overcoming self-sabotage. Take time to reflect on your habits and behaviors that may be holding you back. * Setting goals and creating empowering habits can help break through self-sabotage patterns and move towards desired outcomes. * Check-in with your energy and prioritize feeling good. True freedom and success come from within. This episode is also packed with nuggets of wisdom from Gay Hendrix and this week’s book recommendation “The Big Leap”. episode Consistency Should Not be the Goal! If You Feel Frustrated by Your Inconsistency or Lack of Following Through, This Episode will Help You Hit Your Real Goals (Ep 8) artwork
Consistency Should Not be the Goal! If You Feel Frustrated by Your Inconsistency or Lack of Following Through, This Episode will Help You Hit Your Real Goals (Ep 8)

Isn't it the worst feeling when you set out to do something and you just keep falling short? You feel you are always being inconsistent or maybe just lack follow-through.  Have you ever thought "Why am I always getting in my own way, what is wrong with me?!" It's the worst! It feels just as if you're letting yourself down, almost as if you were your own worst enemy.  I get it. I feel the same way from time to time. I want to enjoy so bad the results of my progress so badly, but consistency seems to be a rookie path because it's hard to be strict when following a plan, a strategy, or even a regular schedule. In this episode Alex shares her thoughts on consistency and trust me, this will be very different then how you are currently thinking about this, challenging you to redefine what it means to keep showing up inconsistent or lacking following through.  She’ll be sharing how to Break Through this inconsistency trap, seeing consistency not as the goal but as the means empowering you to hit your real goals!  She’ll talk you through the following five steps, noting them here for you so you can reflect on these questions after tuning into this episode.  Questions to Reflect on: 1. What is it you desire?  2. What's the consistency struggle? What are you actually struggling with? What is not happening?  3. Explain to yourself why does it matter?  4. Could less be more?  5. What are other ways that could get to your desire that feels fun and exciting? What you're currently doing is the only way? Sometimes it’s not about forcing yourself to be consistent, thinking there’s something wrong with you. Sometimes it’s not you that needs changing, but the goal itself and the steps you are taking towards those goals so you will be pulled towards it from excitement. Alex invites you to start thinking outside the box and make it fun! Alex and I love hearing from you. episode Can You Really Make a Bad Decision? Let’s Debunk Your Fear of Failure! (Ep 7) artwork
Can You Really Make a Bad Decision? Let’s Debunk Your Fear of Failure! (Ep 7)

Decision-making can be such a scary thing because it often comes with doubt, fear of the future, and definitely fear of failure. Let’s entertain this idea: when we’re making a decision, regardless of the type, we picture all potential scenarios, ask for guidance from friends or a higher power, and approach the decision without fully knowing the outcome—maybe even at the last minute after much thought. Do you see the common ground here? In this episode of Hustle Heart, Alex talks about the pressure of making the right decisions and its connection with fear. She dives into the importance of letting go of the need for perfection and embracing the messiness of life. Because, if you think about it, can you really make wrong decisions? Alex encourages us to trust our inner compass and start making decisions from a place of inner knowing and excitement. She also highlights the power of learning from our failures by sharing a little teaser of her first business and how it “failed.” In this episode: * Let go of the pressure of perfection and embrace the messiness of life. * Trust yourself and make decisions from a place of inner knowing and excitement. * Failures are opportunities for learning and growth. * Focus on what you want and allow life to be messy. The question I leave you with today is one I ask myself: Do you really want to keep making your decisions based on fear, or are you ready to fully trust your gut?
