Beschrijving

This week’s girl chat starts off chaotic with the realization that alligators basically never stop growing… so are we living with dinosaurs or what? From there, we get into the “sakinah spouse” conversation and why being approached in public sounds cute in theory but lowkey terrifying in real life. We also unpack thirst-trap culture, values, and why some things just feel off. Then we shift into a deeper conversation about accountability, safety, and why dismissing serious harm in communities is not it.

S1 · EP3: Girl Chat

This episode is a true girl chat. We’re talking nighttime routines, cozy wind-downs, my current drink rotation, skincare rituals, and how Pinterest has quietly become my real-life mood board. I get into my thoughts on kids (do I want them? do I not? TBD), school, and being so close to finishing my undergrad — plus why getting an education is really about gaining knowledge, not just collecting a degree. I also get honest about having very expensive taste, how that low-key shaped my life choices, and why if I were cheaper I’d probably be living my artsy degree fantasy right now. We touch on overconsumption, the guilt that creeps in, and why I’ve been thinking more about accountability, intention, and answering to Allah for how much we consume. Somewhere in between all that, we talk two-piece pajama sets (why are the girlies gatekeeping?), doppelgangers (actually terrifying, I don’t want to meet mine), and the random thoughts that only come out during late-night reflection.
