Big thief, a band that is influenced by a wide range of genres such as folk, rock and indie influences. Big thief showcases a more ethereal sound, using diverse textures and emotional depth. I will be interviewing Katy Wynne for this episode of the podcast. Katy Wnne is a Junior at Anderson University and is one of my dear friends. Katy has never listened to this song by Big Thief before and we will be getting her genuine reaction to the song!

Slow pulp is an American indie band formed in 2015, in Wisconsin. Slow pulp is known for their introspective lyrics and the mix of genres used within their songs. Slow pulp uses sounds relating to indie rock with elements of shoegaze and alternative music. This will be the last episode of the podcast, hoping to mix all genres reviewed and how slow pulp relates to each genre. For this episode, I will be interviewing Lola Burrel, who is a Junior at Anderson University. Lola has never listened to the band sSlow Pulp before, in this episode we will be reviewing how she feels after listening to the song and what elements she took from the song.

Cocteau Twins introduce the “shoe gaze” and “ethereal” genre of music. Though formed in 1979, Cocteau Twins' influence did not hit until the early 1990s. Cocteau twins introduced a unique style of music that has rarely been used before, with the lead singer using her unique voice as one of the instruments. For this episode I will be interviewing Lola Burrell who has never listened to Cocteau Twins hoping to broaden her musical horizons with this band.

This episode introduces the “melodic” sound of the 1990s and the introduction of the “indie rock” scene. We will be following the success of The Sundays and the influence they had on many other bands throughout history within this genre. I will be interviewing Olivia Weatherford on this episode, discussing the unique style of this genre of music and comparing it to other artists.
