Inside Out with Dillon Nolan

Danielle McGarry is a care experienced person who was in residential care, and is currently on the EPIC Youth Council. Earlier this year she appeared on the Late Late show and talked about  living in many different homes, being a mam and education being a  priority for her getting out of the situation she was in. Here we discuss being brought up in the care system, the difficulties she experienced in school and the challenges facing young people as they are forced to leave the care system aged 18.

Thomas Mongan is a care leaver who co-presents the podcast "The Care Experience" with Peter Lane. He is a member of the EPIC Youth Council, and his podcast explores the experiences of young people who grew up in the care system around the world.

In episode 2 of Inside Out With Dillon Nolan, Dillon talks to Roisin Farragher, who is currently working on her PhD in NUI Galway. Her research focusses on young people in care and their identities. She has her own care experience, and is a strong advocate for young people currently living in care.

In this, the first episode of Dillon Nolan's new podcast exploring the experiences of people living in the margins of society, Dillon talks to Angel, a young person who started an Instagram profile called "My Journey in Care". Angel set the profile up to speak about her experience in the care system, and hopes to erase stigma, provide support and raise awareness of Foster Care.

Dillon Nolan is a young activist who has dedicated himself to raising awareness and understanding of the foster and residential care system that he experienced growing up. In his new podcast series "Inside Out with Dillon Nolan" he talks to people who are making changes in their communities about the challenges they face, and how to overcome them.
