Iran has launched fresh attacks on U.S. military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan after a fourth consecutive night of American strikes on Iranian military targets. As the U.S. Navy tightens its blockade of Iran, Tehran is threatening to shut down additional shipping routes beyond the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears the conflict could spread to the Red Sea. President Trump warns he could target Iran’s power plants and bridges unless Tehran returns to negotiations. Meanwhile, an Israeli soldier has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of spying for Iran, passing missile interception footage and other security videos to Iranian handlers in exchange for money after being recruited through Telegram. Elsewhere, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to travel to Washington this weekend as the conflict with Iran intensifies. While no meeting with President Trump has been confirmed, reports suggest Trump is expected to press Netanyahu to withdraw Israeli troops from Syria and Lebanon, despite Israeli officials insisting there has been no change to the country’s military posture. Today’s guest is Khaled Hassan, Egypt expert and Senior Fellow at the Ideological Defence Institute. He warns that Israel is overlooking the rapidly expanding strategic partnership between Egypt and Turkey, arguing that the two countries are increasingly coordinating militarily, producing drones and preparing for a future confrontation with their common enemy: Israel. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Sign up to receive Israel in 10 daily: https://izs.activetrail.biz/Israel-in-10-Sign-Up [https://izs.activetrail.biz/Israel-in-10-Sign-Up]
