The bottom line is Depression Sucks. For our Thumbs up segment of todays show and our Movie Trailer review, Jackey talks about a new show on Netflix. starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill. Maniac. The story is about how their characters and ten other strangers with various mental issues become part of a three day drug trial at the facilities of a Pharmaceutical company. They’re assured, with no complications or side-effects whatsoever this drug solve all of their problems, permanently."[1]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6cDDmk-O5A The next trailer is from a documentary that interviews transformational speakers, spiritual leaders, nutritionists and counselors. It is full of positive inspiration and ideas regardless of your Spiritual belief. e-motion https://www.e-motionthemovie.com/ For this Depression Sucks episode and our Forefinger Ideas segment, let’s talk about a few simple things we can do that can help shift our perspective that gives us a much needed break from the hamster wheel of dark thought. On this show the middle finger interview segment is Jackey talking with herself and how she found her way to the other side in the journey out of darkness. On our Ring Finger, Things We Love segment, Jackey will tell a story of her father’s gun, re connection and a shift to better times. For our Pinky Segment, we once again have young Miss Araydia and her perspective on what makes her happy.
For the 13th episode of Jackey's Hand of Horror, we conclude our re-visit of the eclipse of August 21, 2017. These are the excerpts from what Tonjia, Rachel, and I intended as the pilot for this podcast. This episode covers the experience of everyone who was at my home, which was in the path of totality and one of the longest within totality. For the Thumbs Up Movie Trailer Review we talk about these movies: Barabbas 1961 - https://youtu.be/tqxdufwHAFQ Darkness 2002 - https://youtu.be/t-TA09DBpfw ZOOmbies 2016 - https://youtu.be/BH5S-PxBPC8 For the forefinger segment, we are going over the home made viewers as a refresher, from the disposable viewing glasses, to pin viewers and cardboard box viewers. For the Middle Finger Interview, we talk to each other, as well as friends and family, during the moments just before, during, and after totality, to get their reactions and observations about the experience. Nothing prepared us for this moment. For our Ring Finger, we review a product that we enjoyed and loved so much we would have enslaved coral for it: Eclipse Rum, a dark rum made in Barbados as they have done for generations.
For the 12th episode of Jackeys Hand of Horror, we re-visit the eclipse as close to the first anniversary of August 21 2017 as our schedule allows. Tonjia and Rachel and I had initially planned to begin the podcast with the eclipse episode but life does life and we weren’t quite ready although we had recorded the experience. So for this and our next show, we will share that experience with you here. My home lies in what was The Path of Totality and we had one of the longest times of totality. Please “follow” so you can be sure to listen next time too to see how it all ends. For our Thumbs Up Movie Trailer Review, we talk about the movie trailers The Eclipse 2009 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96CiqDqzmz8 Apocalypto 2006 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngWBddVNVZs For the Forefinger Ideas segment, we discuss ways to view the eclipse, from the commercial throw away glasses to pin viewers and a couple other ideas. For the Middle Finger Interview, we talk with each other and the friends and family during the eclipse experience. This is a two parter, so be sure to listen next time too, to hear our reactions when the eclipse hits totality. Nothing could have prepared us for what we felt at that moment.
Episode 11 - Cosplay by Jackey Raye Neyman Jones
For the tenth episode of Jackey’s Hand of Horror Podcast, Jackey Neyman Jones and Nuria Aguilar talk about Evil Elvis. For our Thumb segment, Nuria and Jackey start with movie trailer reviews for Bubba Ho-Tep https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akGeWx7NTM8 Rockabilly Vampire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dUOcDNMIBQ Representing the pointer finger and the one who punctuates ideas, is our segment of creative projects. For this episode, we learn how to make snack bowls from your old LP’s. Ya know…records. Here’s a video to show you how it’s done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=121&v=ymLvqqdJvDs For this episode’s middle finger interview, Jackey visits with Duane Whitaker, producer, writer, actor. Duane may best be known for his role as the pawnshop dealer in Pulp Fiction, but we also love a film he wrote and starred in, Eddie Presley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Li6IgItYmM The ring finger is dedicated to Things We Love, and this episode, Nuria and Jackey talk about things we love about Elvis. On this episode for the pinky finger segment, Miss Araydia knows nothing about Elvis. She’s never even heard of him so we let her off the hook this time. She’ll be back.
