Homelessness In The D

Homelessness in the D is a huge problem that can’t be solved easily, it is a common problem and is everywhere around the world, as we all know. But do we pay attention to the face of homelessness like we say we do? Not all people can say yes to that question, Soldiers that are old and have come back from battle sometimes become homeless in some cases, it can happen to anyone, and in the D, homelessness is a huge problem, there are over 14,000 homeless people in Detroit and not all of them have access to food and water, the people of Detroit ignore the fact that there are hopeless people in our community and it has to be stopped now. People are dying and starving that need help and the people ignore them, they are living under bridges and on benches. Much of this is due to their evictions or other forms of house instability. Many teens become homeless at times too, and google states that in 2018 over 17,100 teens under 18 who experienced homelessness. So next time you see a homeless citizen, give them a dollar, be generous and don’t be blind to the elephant in the D.  Don't  judge someone by their appearance.
