Saturday’s adventure featured a hike along the Old Cloudcroft Highway Trail, which still includes remnants of the historic railroad that once connected Cloudcroft and Alamogordo. The trip then wrapped up at White Sands National Park, where miles of bright white gypsum dunes created a surreal, snow-like desert landscape.
