aflevering Run Toward Holiness artwork

Run Toward Holiness

This ain't about running in circles, folks—this is about running into holiness. The writer of Hebrews isn't whispering—he's shouting. Our subject is “Run Toward Holiness,” but let me tell you, you better run into it with all your heart, soul, and mind. The track ain't smooth, and sin isn't a gentle nudge—it throws you off. But here’s the truth: You can’t hold onto the world’s weights and expect to sprint toward God. Some of you are standing at the starting blocks but never move, weighed down by distractions and misconceptions. The Word tells us to lay aside every weight and sin that clings so closely—this ain't optional. God didn’t call you to be a spectator; He called you to enter the race and finish strong, keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. You might be asking, ""But what about those times life whoops up on me?"" Well, endure it, because it’s a training ground. God loves you enough to prune, to chasten, to even rebuke, so that you might partake in His holiness. Without holiness, you won't see the Lord—period. You want peace with God? Then follow peace with all men, and let the Word correct you and lead you to truth. Lest you find yourself like Esau, crying over lost blessings with no room for repentance. Our sprint isn't short; it demands patience, correction, and a willingness to yield—fully. Christ endured the cross for the joy set before Him. Can you not endure this, that you might inherit the Kingdom? Let this be your wake-up call, because eternity hangs in the balance. The teaching starts at 1:13 Golden Text: Hebrews 12:1 All Verses Covered: Hebrews 12:1-17 Also read: Leviticus 19:2, Leviticus 20:7, Numbers 15:40, Psalms 24:3-4, Isaiah 35:8-9, Isaiah 52:11, Ezekiel 36:25-27, Matthew 5:8, Romans 6:19, Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 6:17-18, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Ephesians 4:22-24, Ephesians 5:1-4, Philippians 2:12-16, Colossians 3:5-10, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7, 2 Timothy 2:21, Titus 2:11-14, 1 Peter 1:15-16, 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Peter 2:11, 2 Peter 3:11-14, 1 John 3:2-3 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recW8KclONmXrG7gu We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? aflevering Man in the Mirror artwork

Man in the Mirror

When you gaze into the mirror, don't just see the face staring back—see the soul it carries, because that soul is caught in a relentless battle. Romans 7 and Ephesians 3 both shine a harsh, unyielding light on the reality that our greatest enemy lurks not around us, but within us. It's the old flesh, calling us to indulge in sin, whereas the Spirit cries out for holiness. The apostle Paul lays it bare: each of us is fighting a boxing match of the heart, of the mind, where flesh and spirit throw punches over control of your very soul—and my friend, if sin's your referee, death is the prize you're fighting for. This ain't about shifting blame or skirting responsibility. Like Michael Jackson sang, look at the man in the mirror—because this is personal. The Law convicts you, rubs your nose in the truth: it is good, but you and I, we're carnal, sold under sin. Samuel's wisdom calls out loudly here—a call for the Holy Ghost’s strength to fortify the inner man. This confrontation with self is a wake-up call, a call for genuine, Holy Spirit-empowered conversion. Don't let sin deceive you with the smooth talk of the flesh, masking destruction as happiness. Choose today to serve the law of God with your mind and spirit, and let Christ be your deliverance—from the body of this death, into life everlasting. The teaching starts at 0:51 Focus: Romans 7:22-23 All Verses Covered: Romans 7:4,10-25, Ephesians 3:16 Also read: Genesis 6:5, 8:21, Psalms 19:7-11, Proverbs 4:23, 23:7, Jeremiah 17:9, Ezekiel 36:26, Matthew 26:41, John 3:6, 8:34-36, 14:17, Acts 24:16, Romans 6:16, 7:5-9, 8:1-2, 12:2, 1 Corinthians 2:14, 3:1, 9:24-27, 10:13, 11:31, 15:31, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Galatians 5:16-17,19-21,24, Ephesians 4:22-24, 6:10-13, Colossians 3:2-10, 1 Timothy 6:10-12, 2 Timothy 1:7, 4:7, Hebrews 3:12-13, 4:12, 10:26, James 1:13-15, 4:7-8, 1 Peter 2:11, 1 John 1:8-10, Revelation 21:8 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rec70C97hfl3VrJR5 We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? aflevering Holy Conduct artwork

Holy Conduct

God isn't playing games, nor should you be. The study titled "Holy Conduct" pulls no punches, and neither does the Word. The message from 1 Peter and Romans is crystal clear: your conduct must reflect what's inside of you. If holiness isn't at the core, no amount of outward show will cover that deficiency. This isn't about dressing the part on Sundays—it's about a transformation from the inside out. You can't fake holiness any more than a drug head can fake sobriety. The Holy Ghost is the power, the essence that makes your conduct holy. Without it, you're just a shell.  The stakes couldn't be higher. God doesn't care for excuses or your preconceived ideas of good-enough obedience. He demands total submission to His Spirit—a spirit that's Holy. You can't achieve this by following some checklist or another praise chorus. It's about your soul's alignment with a Holy God who expects holy children. Romans 12:1 calls you to lay yourself down on His altar, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable. That means cutting ties with the filth of former ways, and it ain't negotiable. If this truth cuts, it's a cut meant to heal because eternity is on the line, and God wants you, body and soul, to be right with Him. The teaching starts at 0:05 Golden Text: 1 Peter 1:14 All Verses Covered: 1 Peter 1:14-17, Romans 12:1, Acts 1:1-2,8 Also read: Leviticus 20:7-8,26, Psalms 15:1-2, Isaiah 35:8, Matthew 5:48, 7:21-23, John 15:4-5, 17:17-19, Romans 6:22, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 7:1, Ephesians 1:4, 4:22-24, 5:1-2, Philippians 2:12-15, Colossians 1:21-22, 3:1-10, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Peter 2:9-12, 1 John 3:1-10 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rec72TkYitqRoB8fQ We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? aflevering Faithful and Wise Steward artwork

Faithful and Wise Steward

Listen closely, because this ain't a soft-spoken homily—it's a clarion call for the faithful and wise steward. While the world frets over the chaos in the White House, you need to straighten up what's happening in God's house and your own. Luke 12:41-57 ain't just a parable for the disciples of yesteryear; it's a spine-stiffening call for today's stewards, particularly those draped in the cloth who should shepherd, not shear, God's people. God's expectations aren't optional guidelines—they're divine mandates. If you're called to lead, don't cozy up to there will be accountability, because the One who appointed you will return when you least expect it. And let me assure you, He will separate wheat from chaff with precision. It's high time to break the chains of hypocrisy and exploitation masquerading as stewardship. This study lays bare that God did not set up His church for leaders to live in earthly opulence while their flock struggles to make ends meet. The unimaginable tragedy is not just in ignorance but in leaders choosing their comfort over the commands of the Divine. Let's clear this up: Stewardship means serving, not being served; giving, not taking; leading in truth, not leaving in deceit. If you find yourself squirming, it's called conviction, brother—and it might just save your soul. Wake up and act! Prove your worth as a steward, because blessed is the servant whom the Master finds fulfilling His will, not just spinning words but offering meat in season—both spiritually and literally. The teaching starts at 0:44 Focus: Luke 12:42 All Verses Covered: Luke 12:41-57 Also read: Genesis 41:33, Deuteronomy 14:27-29, 17:15-20, Nehemiah 10:38, Proverbs 10:4-5, 12:24, 21:20, Ecclesiastes 5:13-15, Isaiah 3:14-15, 22:15-19, Ezekiel 34:2-10, Malachi 2:1-2, Matthew 24:45-51, 25:14-46, John 10:10-13, Acts 20:28-35, Romans 12:7-13, 1 Corinthians 4:1-2, 9:14, Galatians 6:9-10, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, 1 Timothy 3:1-13, 5:17-18, Titus 1:7-9, Hebrews 13:17, James 3:1, 1 Peter 5:1-4 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recBFvzX4iRRUj1sC We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? aflevering Holy as I Am Holy artwork

Holy as I Am Holy

"Be ye holy, for I the Lord your God am holy" is not a suggestion—it's a command that echoes through eternity. The God who liberated Israel isn't content with mere lip service. Holiness isn't just a fancy spiritual badge; it's the flesh and bone of faith itself. This lesson confronts the ugly truth: we—yes, even the so-called faithful—have let holiness become a spectacle, a ""holy mess."" We dress it up and dress it down like it’s optional, but God didn’t send His Spirit so we could pretend like saints while living like sinners. He seeks a people marked by His Spirit—holy because He is holy. This study uses Leviticus 19 as more than a museum of old commands—it’s a mirror for today's church. Watch how you've been deceived by idols, idols that look a lot like self-interest, spiritual laziness, and vain excuses. God didn't call for a tidy lifestyle peppered with religious jargon. He’s after undivided devotion, the kind that reaches beyond Sunday mornings. Holiness doesn't need a day—it needs a life. And if that's convicting, good. Conviction is the Spirit tugging at your soul like a mighty wind against a stubborn sail. Let it steer you back to the narrow way, to holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. That's where life truly begins. The teaching starts at 0:24 Golden Text: Leviticus 19:2 All Verses Covered: Leviticus 19:1-4,9-18 Also read: Exodus 19:6, 22:28, 28:36, Numbers 15:40-41, Deuteronomy 7:6, 14:2, 26:18-19, 28:9, 1 Samuel 2:2, Exodus 31:12-13, Psalms 93:5, 96:9, 99:9, 110:3, 145:17, Isaiah 35:8, 52:11, 57:15, Ezekiel 20:12, 36:23-27, 37:23-28, Malachi 2:5-7, Matthew 5:8, 5:48, 6:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 7:34, Ephesians 1:4, 4:24, 5:1, 5:27, Colossians 1:22, 3:12, 1 Thessalonians 4:7, 2 Timothy 1:9-10, 2:21, Titus 2:11-14, Hebrews 2:11, 10:10, 12:14, 1 Peter 1:15-16, 2:5, 2:9, 2 Peter 3:11, 1 John 3:1-3 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recDoxgNuzOhTNUCX We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages?
