Solmon's Dedication Prayer

Solomon's Dedication Prayer wasn't just words on a page—it's a call to live with holy purpose and intention. Solomon got down on his knees, lifting his voice to the God of Israel, acknowledging a truth we must all reckon with: there's no God like ours, who keeps His promises to those who walk before Him with all their heart (1 Kings 8:23). Now, don’t you dare think you can play fast and loose with this truth. You present your body as a living sacrifice, just as Solomon dedicated the grand temple, it’s your heart He wants now. If you’re too busy for His work—or cozy with your sin—you’re in dangerous territory. Solomon had it right, praying with humility and faith that God would not only hear but forgive.  Old Solomon knew something we desperately need to understand today: without genuine dedication, you’re building castles in the sand. This life ain't your own to live how you please—it's a gift meant for God's glory, and without His favor, you won’t stand (1 Kings 8:27-30). Are you dedicated solely to the One who sacrificed everything for you? If not, it’s past time to change that. Like the old Pony Express creed, through “rain, sleet or snow,” you must press on, fully devoted. God will hear, and He will watch over those who cry out with sincerity. It's time to put away half-hearted religion and step into the fullness of life Jesus offers. It’s your soul on the line—don’t gamble with eternity. The teaching starts at 2:44 Golden Text: 1 Kings 8:30 All Verses Covered: 1 Kings 8:22-30 Also read: 2 Chronicles 6:12-42, Psalms 8:1-9, Psalms 113:5-6, Psalms 138:6, Isaiah 66:1-2, Jeremiah 23:24, Matthew 5:16, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 2:21-22, Ephesians 3:17, Ephesians 5:19-20, Colossians 3:17, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 3:4, Hebrews 8:10, 1 Peter 2:5, 1 Peter 2:9, Revelation 21:3 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rechr5z5qlEogqieM We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? Watch

This ain't no time for casual Christianity or nodding off in the pews. With things winding up, the call is clear: Watch. This Bible study roots itself in Mark 13:30-37 and Matthew 13:24-30, where the signs are all around us if you've got the eyes to see. The enemy’s slick, sowing tares right in the middle of the wheat field, banking on you nodding off or worse, ignoring the obvious. These tares might look like saints from a distance, but don’t fool yourself. It’s a game of spiritual survival—either you're alert and awake, or you're sleepwalking your way to trouble. The Lord charged us to be watchful, never slacking, never taking spiritual naps. We're not meant to sit idly by, staring at the sky waiting for Christ’s return—we’re called to hit the ground running, doing the work He left us. You better know when to pray, and you better know what to pray for, because the devil's not playing by your schedule. No man knows when the Master returns, and that means you’ve got to be ready at every hour. This ain’t a scare tactic, this is love talking—a love that doesn’t want to watch you slip through the cracks. Stay watchful, stay prayed up, but above all, stay ready. Heaven and earth will pass away, but His word never will—it’s your survival manual. Pick it up, and let it guide your watch. The teaching starts at 1:05 Focus: Mark 13:33 All Verses Covered: Mark 13:30-37, Matthew 13:24-30 Also read: Psalms 37:13, Proverbs 4:23-27, Proverbs 8:34, Isaiah 21:6, Isaiah 32:9-11, Ezekiel 3:17, Joel 1:15, Habakkuk 2:1, Matthew 24:42-44, Matthew 25:13, Luke 12:35-40, Luke 21:36, Acts 20:28-31, 1 Corinthians 16:13, Ephesians 5:14-16, Ephesians 6:18, 1 Thessalonians 5:1-6, 2 Timothy 4:5, Hebrews 2:1, Hebrews 3:12-14, Hebrews 12:15-17, 1 Peter 4:7, Revelation 3:2-3, Revelation 16:15 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rec7MOTgKa9tEwxWh We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? aflevering God's Dwelling on High artwork

God's Dwelling on High

"God's Dwelling on High" shines the piercing light of truth upon the grandeur of our Lord and the frailty of man-made kingdoms. The Almighty's throne is high above every nation, every earthly power, every soar of human pride, and yet, He's near to the brokenhearted, the crushed and the poor. Psalm 113 doesn't mince words when it tells us that He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap. You may strut around with comfort in your earthly achievements, but if your heart ain't humbled before God's holiness, you're missing the point entirely. Repent of the arrogance that elevates worldly nationhood or personal accomplishment above the God who set stars in their courses and calls you for an eternal citizenship in His Kingdom.  Now listen closely: praise isn’t optional. Let me say it again—if your lips are sealed when it comes to extolling God’s holy name, then it's your soul that’s in shackles. We gladly cheer when our team scores, but when was the last time your heart erupted for the One who saved your life from the pit? From the rising to the setting of the sun, His name is worthy of praise. It’s not a suggestion; it’s a command. Tear down the altars you’ve built to your own comfort and status, and raise a hallelujah to the God to whom nothing on this earth compares. Only through being baptized in Spirit and truth will you rise from sin’s deathbed to walk in newness of life. Praise ye the Lord, because He alone is worthy and His name will be exalted above every earthly name. Your spirit’s freedom hinges on it. The teaching starts at 1:19 Golden Text: Psalms 113:4 All Verses Covered: Psalms 113:1-9 Also read: Job 11:7-9, Job 22:12, Psalms 8:1, Psalms 104:1-3, Psalms 139:7-10, Psalms 148:13, Isaiah 6:1, Jeremiah 23:24, Acts 17:24-28, Romans 1:20, Ephesians 4:10, Philippians 2:5-8, Hebrews 1:2-3, Revelation 19:6 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recx7lz2X90kb7RPy We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? aflevering The Way of the Lord artwork

The Way of the Lord

The way of the Lord is no whimsical notion, no half-hearted suggestion. It's carved in the solid rock of God's eternal truth, immutable and unyielding. This study peels back the layers of Isaiah 40:1-14, where we face the sobering reality: it's His way or the highway to destruction. God rules the kingdom of men, and it’s time we recognize our position, both humbled by His grandeur and comforted by His care. It’s simple: you don’t get to do it your way. Every mountain of pride will be laid low. Every crooked path must be straightened. You think you can mold God’s commandments to fit your lifestyle? Then ask yourself who measured the water in the hollow of His hand or weighed the mountains in scales. Only One has spoken the stars into place—His Word will stand when all else crumbles. The choice, beloved, ain’t complex: God's way demands repentance, faith, and obedience. But it’s not burdensome. His way promises a comfort that outmatches all earthly assurances. We have the Comforter—the Holy Ghost—not fleeing, not temporary, but eternal and abiding. Like the voice crying in the wilderness, preparing the way of the Lord is more than being part of the crowd; it's about aligning with His holiness. God speaks comfort, yet calls for change. You may fancy yourself on your own mountaintop, but hear this: nothing stands above His glory. You’ve been warned in love—make straight the path, and let every valley of doubt be exalted by His strength, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it, and all flesh shall see it. Amen. The teaching starts at 0:12 Focus: Isaiah 40:3 All Verses Covered: Isaiah 40:1-14 Also read: Exodus 33:12-14, Deuteronomy 1:30-31, Psalms 9:9-10, Psalms 23:1-4, Psalms 25:4-5, Psalms 32:7-8, Psalms 37:23-24, Psalms 46:1-3, Psalms 62:5-8, Psalms 73:23-24, Psalms 94:18-19, Psalms 145:14-19, Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 35:3-8, Isaiah 55:8-9, Isaiah 66:1-2, Jeremiah 29:11-13, Jeremiah 32:17-19, Matthew 3:1-3, Matthew 7:13-14, Matthew 10:29-31, Matthew 25:34-36, Luke 3:2-6, Luke 7:22-23, John 1:19-23, John 10:27-30, Acts 10:34-36, Romans 11:33-36, 1 Corinthians 1:25, 1 Corinthians 2:9-16, Philippians 4:6-7, Hebrews 9:12-14, James 1:22-25, 1 Peter 2:21-25, 2 Peter 3:8-9, Revelation 1:8 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=rec00UuwoH2AmRdIX We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages? aflevering Isaiah's Glimpse of God's Throne artwork

Isaiah's Glimpse of God's Throne

Isaiah got a glimpse of the Throne, friends, and it shook him to his core. Not just some nice vision to pat him on the back, but a sobering view of God's holiness that burned through his soul. When Isaiah saw the Lord high and lifted, he cried, “Woe is me, for I am undone!” (Isaiah 6:5) That's the cry of a man who knows he's sinful, just like you and me, living among folks with ""unclean lips."" This ain't about a casual nod to God because you felt moved by a worship song. This is about recognizing your sin, confessing, and being downright honest that without God's cleansing fire, we're nothing. The world around us is loud and proud—and like King Uzzah, it thinks it can march right into God's temple and act like it owns the place. But hear me: God won't share His Glory. Pride goes before a fall, and without repentance, there's no lifting from the pit we’ve dug. So what now? Don't just sit there feeling snug behind your pew. God ain't looking for armchair believers. He's looking for those who say, "Here am I, send me." But first, let the Holy Ghost burn up the junk in your heart. Be baptized. Be born again. And get those lips cleaned with the coals of the altar. This ain't about knowing Scripture like the back of your hand. It's about letting God's Spirit change you from the inside out. A simple glance at this world is enough to see it's rotten. You want to make a difference? Start with obedience, humility, and true repentance. If it cuts, it's supposed to. I say this in love because I want to see you on that train—a clean train—bound for Heaven. The teaching starts at 2:48 Golden Text: Isaiah 6:5 All Verses Covered: Isaiah 6:1-13 Also read: Exodus 3:5-6, 19:18-19, Job 42:5-6, Psalms 34:18, 51:17, Proverbs 6:16-19, Isaiah 33:17, 41:10, 57:15, Ezekiel 1:26-28, Daniel 7:9-10, John 12:41, Acts 2:2-4, 1 Corinthians 1:27-29, 12:3, 14:21, 1 John 1:9, Revelation 1:10-17, 4:1-11 If you'd like to listen to this message on our website where you can read along as you listen, click this link: https://www.jmspodcast.com/message-details?recordId=recNMQRX2AsMQu44E We hope you enjoy this message from Elder Clifton Dawson who is now the pastor of Greater Christ Temple Church following in the footsteps of the late, great Bishop Luke Edwards, Sr. Hungry for even more messages?
