In June 1816, gothic writer Mary Shelley and her soon-to-be husband Percy Shelley stayed with Lord Byron in Cologny on the shores of Lake Geneva. It was at the⁠ Villa Diodati ⁠ [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villa_Diodati]where the first seeds of her novel Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus, were sown when Byron challenged each member of the group to write a ghost story In 2018 the ⁠Martin Bodmer Foundation⁠ [https://fondationbodmer.ch/en/martinbodmer/] in Geneva held a ⁠special exhibition⁠ [https://fondationbodmer.ch/product/frankenstein-cree-des-tenebres-catalogue-de-l-exposition/] to mark the 200th anniversary.
