Scripture: Mark 5:21–35 Series: Mark part 17 In today's episode, we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark and meet a woman who had been sick for twelve years. She had tried everything. Spent everything. And nothing had worked. But she had heard about Jesus—and she believed that if she could just get close enough to touch His cloak, she would be healed. And she was. Instantly. But then Jesus stopped and asked, "Who touched me?" The disciples thought it was a silly question—everyone was touching Him! So why did Jesus stop and ask? Today we find out. We also meet Jairus—an important man who falls at Jesus' feet and begs Him to come heal his dying daughter. Jesus agrees and heads that way. But then the news arrives: "Your daughter is dead." We will have to wait until next time to find out what happens next… In This Episode We Talk About: * Why Jesus stopped * What a superstition is and why Jesus didn't want the woman to have one * What faith really means for young kids today * How to trust Jesus with the things that feel scary or hard 📣 How Does My Child Get a Listener Shout-Out? #419: Not Dead, but Asleep - Mark Part 18

Mark series · Part 18 | Scripture: Mark 5:35–43 The messengers arrive with the worst news a father could ever hear: Jairus's little girl has died. "Why bother the teacher anymore?" But Jesus turns to the heartbroken dad and says, "Don't be afraid; just believe." Together we walk the long, silent road to Jairus's house and witness one of the most tender moments in the Gospel of Mark — Jesus taking a little girl by the hand and calling her back to life. Jairus came asking for a healing. Jesus gave him something far greater. A gentle, hope-filled episode for talking with your kids about a hard subject — death — and the One who is stronger than it. In This Episode * "Not dead but asleep" — and why the mourners laughed * A gentle look at "chronological snobbery": the people of Jesus' day knew exactly what death was — they weren't gullible The Big Idea This story answers the question the disciples first asked back in the storm — "Who is this?" — Jesus is the One with power over death itself. And He uses that power tenderly: mighty enough to raise the dead, gentle enough to hold a little girl's hand. It points us forward to Jesus' own death and resurrection, and to the hope for everyone who trusts Him. #417: Go Home and Tell Them - Mark part 16

Series: Mark Part 16 Scripture: Mark 5:1–20 In today’s episode, we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark and see Jesus step onto the shore in the region of the Gerasenes. There, He meets a man who is suffering terribly and living among the tombs. This story includes demons, sometimes the Bible also calls them unclean spirits, but we handle this carefully and remind kids of the most important truth: Jesus is stronger than darkness. As Jesus speaks with authority, the unclean spirits must obey Him. The man who had been alone, hurting, and in bondage is restored. When the people come and see him, he is sitting with Jesus, dressed, and in his right mind. What a beautiful picture of mercy and rescue. This episode helps kids see that Jesus does not only save and restore people so they can keep it to themselves. He gives His people a story to tell. Wherever Jesus places us—at home, with friends, at school, or in our community—we can tell others how much the Lord has done. Today’s key truth: Jesus is stronger than darkness, full of mercy, and wants us to share his goodness with others. ------------------ The Wonder Project [https://www.anniefdowns.com/i-gotta-ask/]: Subscriber support makes more great content like I Gotta Ask with Annie F. #416: Jesus, Don’t You Care? -Mark Part 15

Scripture: Mark 4:35–41 Series: Mark Part 15 Have you ever been in a storm and felt afraid? In today’s episode, we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark and hear the incredible story of Jesus calming the storm. After a long day of teaching, Jesus and His disciples crossed the Sea of Galilee by boat. Many of the disciples were experienced fishermen, so they knew storms well—but this storm was terrifying. Today’s Key Truth: Storms do not mean Jesus has left us or stopped loving us. Jesus is powerful over creation, and He is also loving toward His people. When life feels scary, we can turn to Him, pray, ask for help, and remember His love shown clearly at the cross. This episode is part of our Gospel of Mark series. Keep listening as Mark shows us, little by little, who Jesus truly is. ----------------- Also, don’t forget to check out Minno, [https://tinyurl.com/KBSGoMinno] a wonderful Christian streaming option for kids and families. I was tired of streaming services actually causing me more work. I felt I had to vet so much content before they could watch and I appreciate with Minno I don’t have to do that. It’s great for elementary ages! Check Minno out! #415: Why Would You Hide a Lamp? - Mark part 14

Scripture: Mark 4:21–34 Series: Gospel of Mark, Part 14 In this episode, we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark as Jesus teaches the crowds using parables. Last time, we learned how people respond differently to God’s Word in the Parable of the Sower. Today, Jesus builds on that teaching and helps us understand something new: not just how we respond, but what God is doing. Through the pictures of a lamp, a growing seed, and a tiny mustard seed, Jesus teaches us: * God’s truth is like a light—it is meant to be seen, not hidden  * God is always at work, even when we cannot see it  * His kingdom may start small, but it grows strong and cannot be stopped   [https://tinyurl.com/KBSGoMinno%E2%81%A0]🎨 DON'T miss Go Minno for faith filled shows you can trust.  [https://tinyurl.com/KBSGoMinno] 📣 How Does My Child Get a Listener Shout-Out?
