Beschrijving

Faith Under Fire, a new sermon series that focuses on The Ministry of Elijah. Today's sermon is based on 2 Kings 1:1-17 given by Rev. Dr. Mika Edmondson.  n 2 Kings 1:1–17, King Ahaziah rejects the Lord and seeks answers elsewhere, yet God's Word continues to pursue him in mercy, calling him to repentance through the prophet Elijah. As God faithfully protects Elijah from those sent to seize him, we see that God's Word protects those who trust and obey Him. In the end, God's Word prevails in victory as every prophecy is fulfilled, proving that God's authority and purposes cannot be overturned.

The Power of New Beginnings Part 2 | Faith Under Fire: The Ministry of Elijah

Faith Under Fire, a new sermon series that focuses on The Ministry of Elijah. Today's sermon is based on 1 Kings 18:40–45 given by Rev. Dr. Mika Edmondson.   Following God's dramatic victory on Mount Carmel, public power is restored as Elijah removes the prophets of Baal, demonstrating that the Lord alone is the true God of Israel. Elijah then models persistent prayer, bowing before God and continuing to pray for rain even when there is no immediate sign of an answer. Finally, God's promise is perceived when a small cloud appears on the horizon, growing into a mighty rainstorm that ends the drought. Through this passage, we see that God's power brings restoration, persistent faith is rewarded, and God's promises always come to pass in His perfect timing.
