5. Max & Nick interview with special guest Moe Winograd, double bassist

Moe Winograd is a freelance double bassist, private instructor, and luthier-in-training in Atlanta.  He currently performs with the Georgia Philharmonic and the Metro Atlanta Philharmonic. Mr. Winograd received his Bachelor’s degree in Double Bass Performance from the New England Conservatory.  His principal instructors include Larry Wolfe (Boston Symphony Orchestra), Donald Palma (Orpheus Chamber Orchestra),  Ralph Jones (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra), Gary Karr (famed bass soloist), Joseph Conyers (Philadelphia Orchestra), and Kurt Muroki (professor – Juilliard School and Indiana University).  During his studies, Moe performed at the Victoria Summer Music Festival (Canada), Bowdoin Music Festival, Philadelphia International Music Festival, and Rocky Ridge Music Center. As an orchestral musician, Mr. Winograd has performed extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.   Other teaching positions held included Solfege Teaching Assistant at the New England Conservatory. Mr. Winograd enjoys teaching and performing music of different genres including jazz, soul, funk, rock, and hip-hop.
